Very well rounded tour - definitely recommend!
Really well rounded tour, with a friendly and careful guide who will take care of you (made a point of warning us about tourist scams or dodgy selling points in these locations). Also knowledgeable about history and culture of this area. The ride was very comfortable, a minibus of 16-18 people, each had their own seat and good AC, and the driver was not reckless. The tour itself, for someone who's never been to Vietnam before, was fantastic! Keep in mind that you're on a tight schedule because they cram a whole bunch of activities in 1 day. It was as advertised, we did all the activities mentioned. For me the highlight was definitely the small boat ride. Beautiful views of the hiddens valleys and rice fields from the river. Be advised, the weather will dramatically influence the experience so try to check the weather forecast before going if you're doing this last minute. I had sun and clouds with maximum visibility so it was perfect. I'd recommend this tour for anyone who wants to see Vietnam's magnificent landscape.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your review. We are so happy to get 5 star from you for Ninh Binh Day Trip. We will always give the best services to guests. We hope that we will be served you next time. Take care and good luck to you ! Best Regards Kevin ( Mr)

Pros and Cons
Pros -Scenic Natural Views at Tam Coc & Mua Cave -Best coach i’ve been on whilst traveling, really comfortable and spacious. -Decent Bikes to ride round Tam Coc trails. -Fair amount of Toilet/Coffee stops during transport. -Tour guide gave details about Vietnamese culture and lifestyle. Cons -Guide left three of us behind on the bike ride, spent the whole time lost searching for the group. Best bit - the tour guide was made aware and didn’t come back for us. -Lunch food quality was poor. -Tour Guides english was average at best -Tam Coc River Boat Rower hassled us for a tip for about 5 mins, after giving a tip, asked for more. Neutral -Hao Lu Ancient City - In my opinion a boring stop, need to have something going on here to make it more entertaining.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your feedback about our Tour and Guide as well. We are really so sorry for the tour was not good for you. We already checked tour guide again and she wanted to send apology to you about she lef your group behind on the tour. Got Left Behind
-This could have been a 5 star, but we got left behind. -Nice comfy coach, large leather seats -View point was good -Bike ride would have been good but our tour guide left 3 of us behind. When we arrived the guide asked us all to get a bike and check it over before we set off, I had an issue with my seat my partner and another tourist in the group tried to help me fix this issue, we couldn’t so I went to swap the bike the man looking after the bikes wouldn’t let me. Once I retrieved a bike we noticed the group and our guide had left, we spent the whole time trying to ride around and find the group once we had signal the man who stayed with us from the trip managed to get a signal and contact his friends who were also on the trip. They advised us the tour guide refused to wait, once we tracked them back they told us to carry on 5 minutes so we could see the views everyone else got to see. Again tour guide wouldn’t stop, so we went to see the view which was 5 minutes further and then returned to the bike base by ourselves. Once we returned we couldn’t find the group, after walking around the tour guide appeared. She didn’t seem bothered at all she had lost us/left us behind. She wanted to know why we didn’t ride with the group, we told her you left us behind you need to make sure you have everyone on the tour. -The tour guide doesn’t do a head count, she just moves on when she thinks she has everyone. There was another instance where a few people were in the toilet and she headed off. -Boat ride was good, very scenic. However the lady paddling the boat asked us for a bigger tip multiple times which we found really rude and made me want to take the original tip we gave her back. -Lunch wasn’t great -Bus Driver - Drove like an absolute lunatic on the way back, had his hand on the horn for most of it, driving fast, over taking, driving to close up the back of people, breaking sharply. I think he thought we were on a motorbike not a coach.

A great way to experience Ninh Binh in one day
The trip was very enjoyable, it was a great way to experience the highlights of the area in one day. The temple was beautiful, and the bike ride around town was fun. Our tour guide Frankie was friendly and informative. Buffet lunch was delicious with many options, and the boat ride down the river was relaxing. To end the day you go to Mua cave and viewpoint which was a gorgeous sight. Highly recommend.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for sharing your feedback!

Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Hoa Lu, Tam Coc, Mua Cave With Amazing View - All Inclusive: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.
How much does Hoa Lu, Tam Coc, Mua Cave With Amazing View - All Inclusive cost?
+
Prices start at $44 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Hoa Lu, Tam Coc, Mua Cave With Amazing View - All Inclusive take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.
Is Hoa Lu, Tam Coc, Mua Cave With Amazing View - All Inclusive worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Hoa Lu, Tam Coc, Mua Cave With Amazing View - All Inclusive?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Hoa Lu, Tam Coc, Mua Cave With Amazing View - All Inclusive suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 4. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 10-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Hoa Lu, Tam Coc, Mua Cave With Amazing View - All Inclusive?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Hoa Lu, Tam Coc, Mua Cave With Amazing View - All Inclusive start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hanoi?
+
On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hanoi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hanoi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
