  1. Marco Polo Vietnam

After pickup from your centrally located hotel in Hanoi, board a minibus for the 1.5-hour drive to Hoa Binh, a mountainous province in northern Vietnam. You'll travel with a small group no larger than 15 participants, meaning that you can enjoy a safer and more personalized service with your guide. Anyone with a moderate fitness level who can ride a bicycle may enjoy this full-day excursion; a support vehicle follows. On arrival, snap on your helmet and climb on your mountain bike for a ride through green rice fields, following hillside paths belonging to a limestone mountain. You'll pedal about 1.3 miles (2 km) uphill, then roughly the same distance downhill, before heading up a single dirt road through 11 miles (18 km) of rock gardens and trails. Afterward, stop at an eatery where lunch will be served. Following lunch, you'll meet up with the minibus for the drive back to Hanoi with drop-off at your hotel.

MTB north of Hanoi, Soc Son Tac Ba ao

Great ride, best of the big brand bicycles, knowledge of the area. Joe is in the business for over 15 years and all expectations where easily exceeded. English speaking made it very informative about the surrounding nature that was realy astonishing beautiful. All senses were served and I felt sorry the day went by that fast. Certainly not the last time to go with Joe. Just go there, you won't be disappointed. Thanks Joe, see you soon some time 🚲👍

Perfect and enlightening trip!

My first (definitely not my last) trip with Joe --- A+ guide, excellent English, encouraged my fellow rider and I take things at our own pace, customized our journey as we requested. Took us to beautiful trails that would have been impossible to find otherwise. Great trip! Highly recommend! - Nick, Michigan

Big Day Out with a Tigers & Cougars

Ok so no tigers or cougars but our guides nickname was Tiger and he was good fun! We couldn't pronounce our drivers name so called him "Cougar" who we trusted implicitly as he weaved the minivan around the chaos of Vietnam traffic. We had a really remote experience in the hill tribes in the Sapa region. The accommodation was really good and the food was good - noodles isn't my ideal start to a big day out so Tiger was very flexible and took us to another local eatery who made Vietnamese style pancakes which pretty much was a large round pancake shaped noodle- very clever cos it worked for my headspace. He then took us to the best coffee shop and there are many!! The coffee in Vietnam is sooo goood - rich, dark and choclatey.

Wonderful bespoke 4 day ride in North Vietnam

With only a 7 day window to organise our first trip to Vietnam for my 18yo son and I, Joe at Marco Polo travel was able to help us arrange a magnificent riding experience through the mountains of the Da and Red rivers, west of Hanoi. Thankyou very much to Hieu and Mr Goh, our wonderful and knowledgeable guide and support van driver (a retired engineer enjoying being out in the countryside!). They were always making sure we had what we needed and worked tirelessly to ensure our happiness and complete satisfaction. We had a great ride with just the right amount of time on the bikes allowing us to experience the wonderful local cultures. Visiting the Bai Dinh temples and Pagoda was off our original schedule but was one of the highlights that Hieu added to our trip on "the run" . These temples are set 1klm in length up the hillside, with 500+ Buddha statues a "must see" and largely off the tourist map. The MTB bikes were fantastic too: Cannondale Scalpals with XTR groupset and Rock Shox adjustable suspension. I will be back and I couldn't recommend Joe and his company highly enough to arrange the next tour! (If you are trying to decide to ride from saigon or hanoi, the North enjoys the spectacular limestone foothills and jungle mountains which provide wonderful views and is generally cooler. The van was right behind us (or in the vicinity when we were offroad) if we needed more water, gels or simply a "lift" or a "sticky bidon". We were met in each village by welcoming families, often with fellow "bike riders" joining us with beaming smiles and greetings of "hello").

Hoa Binh Electric Mountain Bike Tour from Hanoi: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.

How much does Hoa Binh Electric Mountain Bike Tour from Hanoi cost?

+

Prices start at $115 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Hoa Binh Electric Mountain Bike Tour from Hanoi take?

+

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.

Is Hoa Binh Electric Mountain Bike Tour from Hanoi worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 32 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Hoa Binh Electric Mountain Bike Tour from Hanoi?

+

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Hoa Binh Electric Mountain Bike Tour from Hanoi suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 18. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 8-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Hoa Binh Electric Mountain Bike Tour from Hanoi?

+

Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Hoa Binh Electric Mountain Bike Tour from Hanoi start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hanoi?

+

On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hanoi?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hanoi?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
