    About this experience

Bored by the food options that you can easily find yourself? Our uniqueness came from our best choices of good food, and adventurous routes that have ZERO-TOURIST, and I want to state again ZERO-TOURIST. This food tour can even cater to other Vietnamese, that's how good it is! We guaranteed you that you will get to experience different scenic routes and go FURTHER than any other tour could in 4 hours. On "A Super Niche Food Tour" which includes 7-8 special food with extremely local spots in our neighborhood that is not on GOOGLE MAP and make sure you hardly find them by yourself.

    The name says it all!

We had an absolutely brilliant evening with Star and her crew of friends. The food was amazing but the real experience was zooming round Saigon’s crazy traffic on the back of a scooter and getting the inside track on the city from this delightful group of young people. I loved that we each had ‘our’ guide/driver to get to know throughout the evening. Highly recommended.

    Fantastic tours - highly recommended!!

We would like to thank Saigon Happy tours for making our Vietnam trip so special. We organised multiple tours with Mei Mei and Happy and they were amazing to deal with, highly responsive and so helpful. We went on the Ninh Binh day tour from Hanoi, the Hue historic tour, the zero tourist Saigon food tour and the rustic Mekong tour. We absolutely loved them all, especially the Saigon food tour - the bike riding was so much fun and we got to explore all parts of the city. The Mekong was a truly memorable day out getting a real insight into the local community and off the beaten track. I have travelled to many places around the world and their tours are the best that I have ever been on. They truly stand out as they are not like typical tours - so you are not doing all the mainstream things. You feel like you are getting a real local experience rather than a standard tour. We are a family of four with 2 teenagers (17 and 15). Our guides Tom, Hoang, Star, Kurt, Snow, Kim and Leo were all fantastic - they were lovely, friendly engaging and knowledgeable. Our family likes to ask questions and talk a lot and they were all lovely people and so good with us. They made our trip really special and we highly recommend them. Absolutely brilliant company.

Tour was SO GOOD I made an account to give it a review!

I literally made a trip advisor account to give this review and rate this a 5/5 experience! Pick up from my hostel was seamless, my driver Kim was super experienced and made me feel very comfortable for my first time on a motor bike, and the food was Incredible!! The spots were hyper local—literally had a meal in someone’s kitchen! This is such a good value and I highly recommend booking with Kim, Star, and OG if you can!

    Amazing!!

We had an amazing time on this food tour! Justin and Helen were awesome guides and were super thoughtful while riding around. The food was incredible and the knowledge of different areas and the history of Vietnam that the tour guides provided was incredible. Would recommend to anyone coming to HCMC!!

    The Saigon Spread

I genuinely felt like I got to experience little pockets of Saigon that I would never have stumbled upon on my own, and that made the whole evening super cool. Helen my guide , is a gem - kind, informative, and she has this really sincere, positive energy and made me feel super comfortable. The food was delicious, but I think my favourite part was the sense of discovery and all the stories that came with it. I’m really glad I went w this. Super fun would do it again! ❤️

Ho Chi Minh/Saigon Zero Tourist Food Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ho Chi Minh City.

How much does Ho Chi Minh/Saigon Zero Tourist Food Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $55 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ho Chi Minh City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Ho Chi Minh/Saigon Zero Tourist Food Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ho Chi Minh City is not rushed.

Is Ho Chi Minh/Saigon Zero Tourist Food Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 325 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ho Chi Minh City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Ho Chi Minh/Saigon Zero Tourist Food Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Ho Chi Minh/Saigon Zero Tourist Food Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Ho Chi Minh/Saigon Zero Tourist Food Tour?

    +

Around 114 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ho Chi Minh City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ho Chi Minh City and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Ho Chi Minh/Saigon Zero Tourist Food Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ho Chi Minh City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Ho Chi Minh City?

    +

On Outty we rank every Ho Chi Minh City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Adventure Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta Tour From HCM, Cu Chi Tunnels Small-Group Tour: Vietnam War Underground Network, Cu Chi underground tour - Learn Vietnam war with others. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Ho Chi Minh City?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Ho Chi Minh City?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
