The tunnel system wasn’t only created for hiding and fighting the enemy, but it was also a safe hidden city for long term living with smoke-free kitchens, storage, handicraft and tailor stores, weapon factories, healthcare rooms, meeting rooms and command centers which connect together with thousand tiny-warming houses where local people could live, get married and raise their kids. Mekong Delta, a green and peaceful landscape with the expanses of rice fields contains duck and buffalo alongside the road, nipa palm canals, coconut and orchard gardens.

Explore the Cu chi tunnels but omit the Mekong Delta.
I enjoyed the private tour of Cu chi tunnels. A private tour provides the opportunity to ask many questions about the history of Vietnam and the war. I also enjoyed that my wife and I had an opportunity to crawl through 100m of one of the tunnels and also fire weapons at a range near the Cu chi tunnels, including the AK47 (for an additional cost). As far as the Mekong Delta is concerned - this was a little disappointing. The lunch was enjoyable, but I would say omit the Mekong Delta and just do the Cu chi tunnels. This half of the tour was really just designed to encourage you to buy goods from the locals and give them tips.

This tour was amazing. The sites and destinations were gorgeous. The tour guide was a total delight and full of knowledge. I would highly and strongly recommend to anyone who visits HCMC. You will not be disappointed! Would also recommend taking cash for tipping. It is worth it.

Amazing experience!
I recently did a day trip to Mekong Delta and Cu Chi Tunnels with my family. It was a great experience. Mr Thao (Guide) and Mr. Tin (Driver) were a great company. Thanks to Mr. Thao's knowledge about the place, we got to see some very beautiful things and places which are usually missed by other tourists. It will be difficult for me to point to a specific location or an activity as a highlight of our trip because the entire trip in itself was a highlight for our Vietnam trip. Dear Mr. Thao, on behalf of my family I would like to thank you once again for the great time that we had in your company. The entire day couldn't have been better. Last but not the least I would like to extend my special thanks to Ms. Stella Nguyen for going out of her to help us on other matters.
