Wow, wow and WOW

We spent three days with Sibo, over the safari in Hluhluwe–iMfolozi Reserve and the Phezulu experience, and he made every moment unforgettable. He is so knowledgeable and passionate about the wildlife and the culture, and he shared everything in such an engaging way. We felt completely safe, relaxed, and truly cared for the entire time, it was like being with a friend who wanted to make sure we enjoyed every second. On top of that, he kept us laughing constantly! His humour and kindness made the experience even more special. We cannot thank him enough for giving us such a wonderful adventure. He is a huge credit to your team and your company!

Response from the operator: Hi Megan Thanks so much for sharing your lovely review! We are so happy that you enjoyed your time with us and that Sibo made your experience that much more amazing! We look forward to hosting you in the future. regards Tim

Safari memories to treasure.

We spent our three day tour with Nicolas our guide. What a fantastic experience. Nicolas has an extensive knowledge of Africa and its wildlife and also the culture and history. We were not disappointed with the Safari. Seeing Cheetahs that had just made a kill and then to watch the vultures descend when they had finished, was a fantastic sight. Each day and evening with Nicolas came with new stories and new sightings. He made our trip to Africa a very special one and one we will never forget.

Response from the operator: Hi Jane Thank you for your review. So happy you felt your experience was so special with us, this is exactly what we pride ourselves on achieving. Safe travels until next time. Regards Tim

Unforgettable experience 🦁🐘🦏

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 3-day tour of Hluhluwe Imfolozi animal reserve through Tim Brown Tours. Tim and his team communicated early and often so we knew what to expect. Our guide Nicholas was professional, knowledgeable, and entertaining. He picked us up in Durban and kept us smiling and laughing the whole trip until he dropped us back off for our departing flight. He didn't just teach us about the animals and the park, but South Africa as a whole. The park itself was gorgeous with many close encounters during our visit, including lions, elephants, rhinos, water buffalos, snakes, and more. The last day, we took a river cruise and saw both crocodiles and hippos. Our resort was excellent, and our standalone cottage comfortable and quiet. The meals were great and the staff very responsive to special requests. Highly recommended and a great value for any traveler.

Response from the operator: Hi Zachary Thanks so much for your review! Great to hear how much you managed to see and that the whole experience was fantastic! We look forward to hosting you in the near future. regards Tim

Hluhluwe Imfolozi and St Lucia 3 Day Safari from Durban: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Durban.

How much does Hluhluwe Imfolozi and St Lucia 3 Day Safari from Durban cost?

+

Prices start at $5925 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Durban usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Hluhluwe Imfolozi and St Lucia 3 Day Safari from Durban take?

+

Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Durban is not rushed.

Is Hluhluwe Imfolozi and St Lucia 3 Day Safari from Durban worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 20 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Durban, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Hluhluwe Imfolozi and St Lucia 3 Day Safari from Durban?

+

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Hluhluwe Imfolozi and St Lucia 3 Day Safari from Durban suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 3. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 72-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Hluhluwe Imfolozi and St Lucia 3 Day Safari from Durban?

+

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Durban can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Durban and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Hluhluwe Imfolozi and St Lucia 3 Day Safari from Durban start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Durban within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Durban?

+

On Outty we rank every Durban experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Culture Walking Tour of Durban, Sani Pass & Lesotho 4x4 Experience Day Tour from Durban, Discover Rorkes Drift on our Day Tour from Durban. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Durban?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Durban?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
