Guine River Bridge is one of the most famous historical Attractions in North Beach.During the Second World War, King Tai promised to help the Japanese Imperial Army deploy in Thailand in order to avoid war, and the Japanese army used Allied prisoners of war to build railroads across the forests of the Tamil Mountains to provide supplementary supplies to the Japanese troops operating in Myanmar.A large number of Allied prisoners died in labor that year, which is a rather heavy historical memory. The Guine River Bridge was originally a wooden bridge, which had long been destroyed during the war, and the rail bridge that is now seen, was later rebuilt, so far there are still daily trains passing.Standing on the bridge of the Guine River, watching the beautiful Guine River flowing underneath, it is difficult to imagine the intense war situation of the year, and more hope for world peace forever.

Kanchanaburi tour
Very nice tour. I had been there previously on a different tour and this trip was better because we got to learn about the history of Kanchanaburi. The skywalk, boat ride, train ride and trip to the bridge were all very interesting.

Disappointed and below expectation
Disappointed and tour conducted was below expectation. Guide assigned was not able to provide more info regarding Kanchanburi. He could not speak fluently in English. One guide was assigned to manage 3 vans of travellers. Having paid for an expensive one day trip the least I would expect is one guide per van. I had booked tours with Viator in Europe previously which were well managed but not with this trip.

History, Skywalk, Train, Bridge & Boat.
What a fantastic tour. Cindy was terrific guiding us through the day. Our drivers, 2 mini buses were fantastic getting through the Bangkok traffic & on to/from out destinations. The skywalk, although not at the top of a skyscraper, afforded great views over & around the River Kwai. Next was lunch followed by the Death Railway train ride giving you an experience to remember. Then on to The Bridge Over the River Kwai, good timing as we watched the train come across the bridge, a walk across the bridge followed by a boat ride on the river to the museum. Lastly a walk along the main street of Kanchanaburi with it's historic buildings before heading back to Bangkok.

We visited some history, the famous bridge over the Kwai River, and the most infamous stretch of the Death Railway. I recommend to first inquire about the history of these two works to be able to live them better and reflecting on what is behind these buildings.
