Good Tour - Hidden Costs
This was a good tour - guide was knowledgeable. The tour company needs to advise of how much admission fees will be extra per each attraction. It was an extra 110 Euros - for 2 of us - for entry to Ephesus and house of Virgin Mary. We chose not to do the Terrace Houses (too many steps) but that would have been a further 30 Euros. The company does say their tour doesn't include admission fees but we did not anticipate the high extra amounts. Overall we paid 320 Euros for 2 of us and I'm not sure if the excursion was worth this. In fairness we did cut the tour short because it was a tiring day but it would have been useful to understand how much was required to budget for admission fees. Be aware of what it will actually cost you overall for the tour.
Response from the operator: Hello Mary, we are so sorry since you gave us a 3 STAR review, we believe that we did not deserve your complain about entry fees. Please check your e-mails, we sent you an e-mail about entry fees and it was mentioned there very clear, you knew how much entry fees were. They are not hidden, they are not for us, but for Turkish Government. We did a favor for you, we bought the tickets in advance to skip the lines and you did not wait in ticket lines. Some of the day, people wait in the lines around one hour, but you did not lose any minute, because your tickets were ready. Beside that, you mentioned that you loved your day with us, so, we are so sorry since you gave us a 3 STAR review.

Seda made the tour and the day profoundly memorable
An absolutely exceptional day. We booked the private tour for our group of 6 people. Our guide Seda is what made the experience so memorable. We contacted her early on and she was able t0 customize the day to our desires. We toured Ephesus, the ruins, Mars Hill and listened to her complete grasp of the history. She was engaging and captivating with how she communicated the stories. What was particularly helpful was how she was able to describe how things happened and give valuable insights. We then toured a Persian Rug manufacturer where we tasted some Turkish apple tea, learned how the rugs were made, where the materials came from, who created patterns and what impacts the price. After the rug tour, we were treated to a wonderful Turkish lunch where we got a history lesson on the different empires which controlled the political, religious and social history of the region. Seda also answered our seemingly endless questions regarding current conflicts and cultural concerns impacting al religions of the region. It was fabulous. Following, we toured a pottery manufacturer where we saw a demonstration of a master potter throwing a vessel with matching lid from scratch on a kick wheel. It was remarkable. Seda designed the day with our input and tweaked the details to give us the most customized experience. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the company, and especially Seda as the premier tour guide for Ephesus Port Tours.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much, this is very kind of you. Hope to see you again.

How far in advance should I book Highlights of Ephesus Tour FOR CRUISERS?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kusadasi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kusadasi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
