What you'll see and do
Our guide and driver will pick you up from your Phuket hotel at around 3.00pm and we head inlands towards the main city of the island – Phuket Town. The capital of Thailand's only island province is worth visiting for its shopping, restaurants, and delightful examples of Indo-Portuguese mansions constructed by Chinese tin and rubber barons. Phuket town was originally settled about a century ago by Chinese residents of Malaysia who were drawn to the lucrative mineral deposits. Tin and rubber fortunes created by the great rush formed the great Sino-Thai dynasties, which still dominate the economies of southern Thailand. Wandering through the Sino-Portuguese centre of traditional Phuket – there is no better means to smell feel and touch Phuket’s architecture along its side streets and historical buildings. Crafted and designed in accordance to old and still practiced measures, Phuket Town represents to be admired and there is no better way to see the eye for detail in the design work by foot. Outside its rich cultural heritage, its quaint colonial mansions, there are many stories to tell about the history and design of Phuket Town and your guide will have all the ins and outs for you.

Beautiful guided tour to Phuket 😍
We left at 9am from our hotel with our guide and driver for a visit in French, passed by the panoramic road we could see all the quieter beaches than ours (sea level and wave) all along the road we could stop to see beautiful landscapes and take pictures. We were visited a Chinese colonial house, the SRIBHURAPA orchid the cashew house and the beautiful Chalong temple, our guide showed us how to make Buddhist divinatory art (we did not do with it) and always beautiful landscapes to see and photograph. We only ate in a local restaurant very well eaten, there was starter main rice and dessert and we only ended up in Phuket where we could not see the old town walking and shopping before returning (there are many beautiful things 🤩) Thanks to Jacky for these very good guide and listening explanations and thanks to the driver who drove us well 😍 I can only advise you this visit with this guide who speaks very good French 🤩🍀☀️
Response from the operator: Merci infiniment pour ce retour si chaleureux !

The Hidden Side of Phuket
Our guide was extremely good and punctual. Her English was also very good. I was surprised that the tour focused on the Chinese ancestry of Phuket. First stop was a museum dedicated to this purpose. OK, so I didn't know this and therefore interesting. The actual tour of the Phuket Old Town was OK, but less than I expected. If it were not a Sunday and the Old Town Market was in full swing, it would have been disappointing. However, the dinner location is absolutely superb - the most amazing view over the city. Some of the dishes were excellent, some overcooked and dry.
Response from the operator: Dear Jayhou We really appreciate you taking the time to review our Hidden Side of Phuket. It certainly has helped us to understand how you and your travel companion have viewed this unknown side of the Pearl of the Andaman. Indeed, the Chinese has stood at the forefront as one of the first settlers to develop Phuket like it is now. Awesome to read you enjoyed the views of our choice of dining. Yes, we couldn’t agree more with the location and the food quality. Our apologies that some of the food was not up to par, and as it is our duty to inform all concerned, we will do so with your comments about this to the owners of the restaurant. As for Phuket Town, the historical side with its Sino-Portuguese architecture is part of Phuket’s rich history. We understand your comment on this when one really wants to dive deep into the local market scene. Once again, it has been our sincere pleasure taking you on this hidden path across Phuket and reading about your experience with Asian Trails Thailand With kind regards Asian Trails Thailand

Why this scores 58
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Hidden Side of Phuket: Half Day Walk and Hilltop Dinner: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phuket.
How much does Hidden Side of Phuket: Half Day Walk and Hilltop Dinner cost?
+
Prices start at $56 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phuket usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Hidden Side of Phuket: Half Day Walk and Hilltop Dinner take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Phuket is not rushed.
Is Hidden Side of Phuket: Half Day Walk and Hilltop Dinner worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Phuket, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Hidden Side of Phuket: Half Day Walk and Hilltop Dinner?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Hidden Side of Phuket: Half Day Walk and Hilltop Dinner suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 2. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 5-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Hidden Side of Phuket: Half Day Walk and Hilltop Dinner?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phuket can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phuket and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Hidden Side of Phuket: Half Day Walk and Hilltop Dinner start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phuket within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Phuket?
+
On Outty we rank every Phuket experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Southern Flavors Phuket Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, James Bond Island by Big Boat w/ Sea Cave Canoeing and Lunch, Phang Nga Bay Canoeing & James Bond Island Tour from Phuket. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Phuket?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Phuket?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
