Best tour ever!
This was the most amazing tour of my life. Jewish India Tours was incredible and our tour guide, Joshua, was simply the best. I’ve never had such a knowledgeable and kind tour guide. He navigated us through India in the most impressive way and I learned so much from him while having the best time. I cannot recommend Jewish India Tours more! I was there with 10 other classmates for 12 incredible days!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your amazing feedback! We’re thrilled to hear this was such a memorable experience for you. We will be delighted to know he made such a positive impact—so glad you and your group had an incredible time exploring India with us!

Above and beyond in every way
We had an absolutely wonderful experience with our guide. From the very beginning, he went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable, safe, and truly cared for. He was incredibly accommodating, flexible with our schedule, and always attentive to our needs. What really stood out was how thoughtful and patient he was — nothing ever felt rushed, and he made sure we were enjoying every moment. His knowledge, warmth, and genuine kindness made the experience feel personal rather than “touristy.” If you’re looking for a guide who truly cares and will go the extra mile to make your trip special, I cannot recommend him enough. This experience wouldn’t have been the same without him.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! It truly means a lot to hear that you had such a memorable experience. We’re glad we could make your visit comfortable and special—hope to welcome you again soon!

Private tour of Mumbai
We had a wonderful half day tour of Jewish sites in Mumbai together with some other highlights such as the outdoor laundry and lunchbox experience led by a fabulous guide, Hanna. We learned all about the Jewish communities in India including the Bene-Israel, Baghdaddi Jews, and the Jews of Cochin. Hanna was very informative and her sense of humor made the tour fun. We did a private tour and Hanna was happy to listen to our personal requests. We saw the David Sassoon library, several synagogues and everything was accompanied with lots of interesting information. This tour was a definite highlight of our trip and is highly recommended.
Response from the operator: Thank you for such a detailed and wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that your tour was both informative and enjoyable, and that it became a highlight of your trip. It’s great that you experienced the rich Jewish heritage along with Mumbai’s unique local life—truly appreciate your recommendation!

Highlight of Mumbai- Inside Jewish India
This was such a special and well organized trip. The sites and access to special lookout points were some we never would’ve known about without this tour. The knowledge, history, and perspective that Joshua gave my friends and I was invaluable and truly made our trip to Mumbai unforgettable. 10/10 would recommend this to all visitors to Mumbai who want to learn about the unexpected history and modern day life of Jews in India.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful review! We’re so happy to hear that Joshua’s insights and the special access made your trip to Mumbai unforgettable. It’s always our goal to provide a unique, informative experience, and we’re thrilled that you and your friends enjoyed it so much. We really appreciate the recommendation and hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again soon!!!

Jewish Mumbai
Ritu was a wonderful guide. She was knowledgeable and friendly and told us so much about the Jewish customs in Mumbai which incorporates some of the Hindu customs when a marriage takes place. Visiting the Ghandi museum and where Ghandi lived and the Sassoon Synagogue, Library and school was so interesting. One of us needed to buy a gift so Ritu stopped at a local market which had everything you can imagine for sale and they found something. That was so nice of her. Thanks for a great tour.
Response from the operator: Hi Shelley, Thank you very much for taking time to share your fabulous experience. It was our pleasure to organize this trip for you. We’d be happy to offer you our services again. Team Jewish India Tours

Why this scores 58
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Hidden Jewels and Offbeat Tour of Mumbai: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mumbai.
How much does Hidden Jewels and Offbeat Tour of Mumbai cost?
+
Prices start at $4491 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mumbai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Hidden Jewels and Offbeat Tour of Mumbai take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mumbai is not rushed.
Is Hidden Jewels and Offbeat Tour of Mumbai worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mumbai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Hidden Jewels and Offbeat Tour of Mumbai?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Hidden Jewels and Offbeat Tour of Mumbai suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 12. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Hidden Jewels and Offbeat Tour of Mumbai?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mumbai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mumbai and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Hidden Jewels and Offbeat Tour of Mumbai start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mumbai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Mumbai?
+
On Outty we rank every Mumbai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Elephanta Caves & Island Guided Private Tour, Dharavi Slum Tour, Mumbai: Dharavi Slum & Dhobi Ghat Laundry Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mumbai?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mumbai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
