Once in a lifetime Machu Picchu
My husband and I wanted to do a short hike to Machu Picchu and were thrilled to find this 2 day private tour. Our guide Ricardo was fantastic! He was friendly, extremely knowledgeable and we enjoyed spending 2 days with him. He took care of everything and all went smoothly. We would absolutely recommend him! Although advertised as a 4 hour hike, it took us twice that time. While we are very fit for our age (50s), we are not hikers and we found the 700m rise over 8 km challenging (then 4 km relatively flat and down). The views were fantastic and it was exciting to walk the Inca trail. Ricardo motivated us to the end. All the way he told us about the flora, history of the Incas and we chatted on a wide range of topics. The box lunch was super. That night we stayed in a great hotel (we were upgraded thank you). The next day we watched the sun rise over MP and spent the entire morning visiting this wonderful site with Ricardo. We are very interested in ancient cultures and Ricardo explained everything to the detail we wanted. Our driver Carlos was wonderful. He was super friendly and navigated the roads with ease. Thank you for the experience of a lifetime!! We highly recommend this tour.
Response from the operator: Dear Renate, It was a pleasure for us to organize your trip, and we really like to receive comments like yours and know that you really had a great experience. Thanks once again for trusting us.

the only decent way to enter Machu Picchu
The entire tour was well organized, a detailed schedule was provided in advance and adhered to during the entire tour. My guide was very knowledgeable and shared interesting details about inkan history while we walked towards Machu Picchu. The guide let me walk at my own pace, I never felt rushed. On arrival in Aguas Calientes I got an upgrade to the Machu Pueblo Hotel, the local top hotel. The next day we "discovered" Machu Pichu in more detail, gently avoiding the large crowds of group tourists. A unique experience!
Response from the operator: Dear Oliver, We're very happy that you had a great time doing the KM 104 hike and that Alvaro was a good guide for you. Also, that you were able to enjoy the upgrade for Machu Picchu Pueblo. I bet that you had a great time there. Best,

One of the best things to do
We spent an afternoon and the following morning, having booked our entry tickets six months ahead of time. First day we walked up, 2.5 hours walk, but then bus down and back up again in the morning. Book early, fantastic place, but make sure you are health and can walk for few hours. Take plenty of water.

Hidden Incatrail from Cusco to Sacred Valley (2 days, 1 night): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.
How much does Hidden Incatrail from Cusco to Sacred Valley (2 days, 1 night) cost?
+
Prices start at $956 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Hidden Incatrail from Cusco to Sacred Valley (2 days, 1 night) take?
+
Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.
Is Hidden Incatrail from Cusco to Sacred Valley (2 days, 1 night) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Hidden Incatrail from Cusco to Sacred Valley (2 days, 1 night)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Hidden Incatrail from Cusco to Sacred Valley (2 days, 1 night) suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 48-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Hidden Incatrail from Cusco to Sacred Valley (2 days, 1 night)?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Hidden Incatrail from Cusco to Sacred Valley (2 days, 1 night) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cusco?
+
On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Peruvian Cooking Class Cocktails and Market Tour in Cusco, Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cusco?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cusco?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
