Highly recommend this service particularly as I saw prices twice as much for the same service. This was perfect
Excellent service, professional, friendly and on time. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience and safer driver. It was all perfect

quaint but.....
The park is well kept (but not very well) and dotted with these very original and very fascinating stone figures (especially if you have children). The folded house is also original where the sensation of walking inside (it's little more than a room) makes you have fun. If I have to find a flaw it's the cost. 13.00 euros each I would say is too much for what it offers.
Response from the operator: Grazie per il feedback. La sua opinione è importante per noi. Cordialmente

Historically and artistically significant sites north of Rome.
Although a little on the expensive side, this tour was a great way to see a number of interesting sites that are near Rome, but hard to get to by public transportation. The first early morning stop was at the late 16th century Mannerist gardens of Bomarzo, with its extraordinary collection sculptured monsters and follies. Then a stop at the Farnese Palace at Caprarola, a must-see for lovers of Renaissance art and architecture. Next was a quick but interesting stop at Sutri to see the rock-cut Roman Amphitheatre, Etruscan tombs, and paleo-Christian church. Lunch was at a good local restaurant at Trevignano sul Lago, a charming small lakeside village. Finally, a few hours exploring Calcata, a quintessential medieval hill-top fortress town, now inhabited by artsy types, colorful characters, and friendly cats.
Response from the operator: Hello! We are truly grateful for your kind review. We appreciate your positive feedback. Our rates vary depending on availability and seasonality, to make sure we provide the absolute best, efficient and high quality service all of our guests deserve. We are so pleased to hear you've enjoyed exploring this amazing area. We hope to have the opportunity to arrange some great things for you again in the near future. All the best!

An amazing day in Sacro Bosco, Palazzo Farnere and Calcatta!
Our driver Gilberto picked us up in the morning and took us to Bonarzo first. He was informative, funny and really nice. He told us from the beginning that it was our tour and he would do what we wanted. He took us to each tour spot - took us to the ticket booth and made sure we knew how to go around and where to meet up after. Whenever we wnatwd coffee, bathrooms or lunch he stopped and found place to accomodate us. It is not a cheap tour and it is as Gilberto said “Off the beaten path” but it was well worth it. A fantastic day with a wonderful guide!
Response from the operator: Hello!! Thank You so much for your kind feedback. Gilberto is so happy to hear you had such a wonderful time! Thank you kindly for choosing us. We hope to have you on one of our private tours again in the near future. Wishing you the absolute best! Julia Booking Office

Fabulous day away from the crowds of Rome.
We had a wonderful quiet day away from the crowds with Gilbert who took us to Calcata and a few more charming towns round Lake Bracciano. It was one of our best days in Italy being away from the crowds and tourist areas. He speaks great English and was very flexible and patient. He’s an excellent guide that lived in CA before and was very knowledgeable about the attractions, history and places to see.
Response from the operator: Hello! Thank You so much for your kind feedback. Gilberto will be so happy to hear you had such a good time with him, exploring the surroundings of Rome. We do hope to see you again during your travels to Italy. We wish you the BEST! Giulia

Why this scores 53
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Hidden Gems of Lazio: Bomarzo Monster Park, Caprarola & Calcata: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rome.
How much does Hidden Gems of Lazio: Bomarzo Monster Park, Caprarola & Calcata cost?
+
Prices start at $592 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rome usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Hidden Gems of Lazio: Bomarzo Monster Park, Caprarola & Calcata take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rome is not rushed.
Is Hidden Gems of Lazio: Bomarzo Monster Park, Caprarola & Calcata worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rome, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Hidden Gems of Lazio: Bomarzo Monster Park, Caprarola & Calcata?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Hidden Gems of Lazio: Bomarzo Monster Park, Caprarola & Calcata suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Hidden Gems of Lazio: Bomarzo Monster Park, Caprarola & Calcata?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rome can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rome and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Hidden Gems of Lazio: Bomarzo Monster Park, Caprarola & Calcata start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rome within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Rome?
+
Rome runs on skip-the-line access. The Colosseum underground, the Vatican before opening, and the catacombs south of the walls all require a licensed operator, and the price gap between the good ones and the rest is smaller than you would expect. We rank by guide credentials, group size and how reliably the promised access actually materialises. On Outty we rank every Rome experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rome Pasta and Tiramisu Class: Ravioli, Fettuccine & Fine Wine 5*, Pasta Making & Wine Tasting with Dinner in Frascati from Rome, Rome: Pizza & Tiramisu or Gelato Class with Flowing Fine Wine 5*. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Rome?
+
April, May, September and October. August is hot and half the city is shut. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Rome?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
