Fantastic Day!
Fantastic day! A must do as it’s private, personal and you’ll see beautiful places you won’t see on a big tour. Willem is cool! He drives safely too.
Response from the operator: Thanks Laurie...so glad to have met you and Bob. Hope you enjoy the rest of your stay here. God bless!

Fantastic Day!
Fantastic day! A must do if you want to see the countryside up close and not from a bus! Willem is cool. He’s very knowledgeable and drives safely. You’ll take multiple photo stops and have lunch right on the sea!

Uniquely fun and beautiful drive
Really unique and fun experience. The trike is great fun and Willem has a wealth of interesting information about the area that we would have never gotten on our own. The drive itself was definitely the most scenic and beautiful that I had ever done. Highly recommend!
Response from the operator: Thank you Christine...it was my pleasure to show you that beautiful coastal road...so glad you enjoyed it. Hope you have a fantastic festive season with your loved ones. Regards to Kai. God bless.

Fun filled day with an unusual route home.
What an amazing day with Willem and his Geel-Kameel on the Clarence Drive trip on Sunday 29 Decembder 2019. We couldn't have ended the year off on a better note exploring Cape Town's beautiful coastline. The trike is most comfortable, Willem our tour guide super knowledgeable about fascinating fats and history of the places we visited which included the pump house at Steenbras dam above Gordons Bay, a biker pub in Rooiels, Stoney Point in Bettys Bay to visit the penguins, drive through Kleinmond and finishing with a faboulous lunch in Hermanus. When Willem heard that Jolene had never been along the Hemel en Aarde Vallei, he took us back along that route which brought us out at Caledon to meet up with the N2 back to Cape Town. Another stop at the Houw Hoek Farm Stall for some of their delicious sausage rolls and apple crumble and then onto Grabouw and a last stop at the top of Sir Lowrys Pass for more pics and sights before delivering us safely back home! A trip with Cape Town Trike Tours is a MUST for anyone's bucket list, especially if you don't own a bike BUT want to experience the thrill and adventure of the ride. Thanks again Willem for an amazing day and experience.
Response from the operator: Thank you Alan. It was great spending the day with and Jolene. Thanks for the easy conversation and all the laughs...you both are awesome people. So glad you enjoyed it as much as I did...you were the perfect couple for my last tour of 2019. May you both have an awesome 2020. God bless.

Amazing Tour AND Great Fun, Smiles all Day
This is our first visit to South Africa and after 3 weeks we wanted to finish our holiday on a High. Well Willem and his day tour around the coast to Hermanus including a pub stop, a lunch in Hermanus right next to the sea and the scenic views from his Boom Trike couldn’t be better. Thank you. We will certainly be recommending your tours on a Trike to our friends.
Response from the operator: It was great meeting you and Jill yesterday Dave and I'm so glad you both enjoyed the tour as much as I did. Thanks for being such awesome people and I hope to see you back in Cape Town shortly again. God bless.

Why this scores 52
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Hermanus and Whale Route Trike Tour from Cape Town: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cape Town.
How much does Hermanus and Whale Route Trike Tour from Cape Town cost?
+
Prices start at $378 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cape Town usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Hermanus and Whale Route Trike Tour from Cape Town take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cape Town is not rushed.
Is Hermanus and Whale Route Trike Tour from Cape Town worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Cape Town, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Hermanus and Whale Route Trike Tour from Cape Town?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Hermanus and Whale Route Trike Tour from Cape Town suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Hermanus and Whale Route Trike Tour from Cape Town?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cape Town can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cape Town and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Hermanus and Whale Route Trike Tour from Cape Town start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cape Town within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cape Town?
+
On Outty we rank every Cape Town experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cape Town: Lion's Head Sunrise/Sunset Hike, Ocean Wildlife Encounter in Cape Town, Private Full Day Stellenbosch Wine Tour with Pick Up and Drop Off. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cape Town?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cape Town?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
