Frienly and flexible drivers
A big Thank You for our driver on this Heaven Hate East Bali Tour two weeks ago in January! We experienced most friendly, informative and flexible service from Candidasa Taxi, as we had booked our trip through Booking.com earlier, before our trip to Bali. Everything worked well, and our special needs were heard. We truly got more from this daytrip than we had imagined. The next day we had another driver from Candidasa Taxi to take us to our next destination, Ubud, and we received the same friendly and helpful service. We were able to visit several interesting sights on the way. Unfortunately I forgot our drivers names, but me and my husband are very grateful for these safe drives and friendly, professional services we received. Greetings from Finland!
Response from the operator: Dear valued clients, thanks for choosing our service during your Bali holidays🙏

Very nice experience!!! My family really enjoyed the tour. Our driver, Koma, was very well versed in English and told us about the Balinese culture and some insights of the places we went to. He was very patient in waiting for us. 5-star rating! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Response from the operator: Hi... Thanks for using our services while your Bali holidays 🙏

Excellent way to experience the best of East Bali
Great experience and would highly recommend this trip. It was interesting and very relaxing. The driver took us to each destination and waited for us, which was great. We had time for lunch too.

Great experience
We were picked up punctually by our guide Komang, who is also the owner of the tour operating company. He was a friendly driver and answered all of our questions and provided us with some further information about the different places we visited. However, you have to keep in mind that this tour is not fully guided and you spent the time at the stops on your own. The tour was carried out as in the itinerary. At every stop we could take as much time as we wanted to look at everything, and Komang always offered to take photos of us if we wanted. In Tenganan village, against a small donation, a local guide will take you around the village. In general, admission fees are not included in the tour. In total you have to calculate with approx. 350.000 IDR (=20€) admissions for this day per person. Especially for Virgin Beach, we recommend to bring cash as many places there do not accept card payment. Also, please be aware that Lempuyang temple is a very touristic and crowded place where you have to draw a number to take a picture at the Heaven's Gate with waiting times up to several hours. Still, it is a beautiful temple which is definitely worth seeing. And Komang will also take you to the bottom of the stairs to Heaven's Gate, which (if the weather is bad and you don't see the mountain) is a much prettier photo spot anyway! :-) In total, the tour has a perfect length and all stops are worth visiting. The car was clean and air-conditioned, and as mentioned at the beginning: Komang was a very nice person to spend this experience with! If you consider going on this tour we can definitely recommend it. So go ahead and book your experience and support his small family business!

Why this scores 56
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Heaven Gate East Bali Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ubud.
How much does Heaven Gate East Bali Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $720000 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ubud usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Heaven Gate East Bali Tour take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ubud is not rushed.
Is Heaven Gate East Bali Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ubud, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Heaven Gate East Bali Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Heaven Gate East Bali Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Heaven Gate East Bali Tour?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ubud can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ubud and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Heaven Gate East Bali Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ubud within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Ubud?
+
On Outty we rank every Ubud experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mount Batur Jeep Adventure, Best of Ubud Full-Day Tour with Jungle Swing, Full-Day Tour to Water Temples and UNESCO Rice Terraces in Bali. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Ubud?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Ubud?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
