Great tour guide but company could do better with overall tour.
First I want to say our tour guide Alicia was great and made the overall tour enjoyable. However, for the price I would have expected more...our train time was changed the evening prior to a much earlier train which caused us to get to the meeting spot an hour early and our train back was changed causing us to be sitting around for hours with nothing to do since the tour was only 1.5 hours and we had already shopped and gone to eat. The tour was not worth the nearly $200 that they charged...it should have been longer and included entrance into some of the landmarks we visited.
Response from the operator: Good Morning from Caf Tour & Travel, Dear Customer, Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We’re truly pleased to hear that Alicia was the highlight of your experience and that her knowledge, professionalism and helpful recommendations made the tour enjoyable. We’re sorry, however, that the changes to your train schedule and the resulting waiting time affected your overall impression of the experience. We understand how frustrating it can be when transportation changes unexpectedly and impacts your day. Your comments regarding the tour duration, inclusions and overall value are important to us, and we will share them with the relevant team as we continually work to improve our services. We sincerely hope that, despite these difficulties, Alicia’s passion for Florence left you with some wonderful memories of the city. Thank you again for helping us improve, Caf Tour & Travel

The tour guide was the best part
For the cost, I think it would have been better to book my own way there and book a tour guide or guide myself with sites id want to visit. The cost of it could have paid the entrance fees to some of the locations. I did love our guide, Alicia. She was VERY knowledgeable, polite, and gave helpful advice. The problem was the agency. They had a time for the start and a time they have for the "tour". The night before, they emailed us that the train would be leaving an hour earlier than we thought but to arrive 30 mins prior to that, we were an hour early for the tour and had to wait, the tour was only an hour and a half with the rest free time - nothing included, and the tickets came back later than expected. They disguise this by stating we got bumped up to first class and the tickets were flexible on the time but they are not. They were fully booked.
Response from the operator: Good Morning from Caf Tour & Travel, Dear Customer, Thank you for sharing your honest and detailed feedback. We’re especially happy to hear that Alicia made such a positive impression with her knowledge, kindness and helpful advice, she will certainly appreciate your lovely words. At the same time, we’re sorry that the changes to the train schedule and the waiting times affected your perception of the experience and its value. We understand that unexpected transportation adjustments can be frustrating, particularly when they result in additional waiting time. Your comments about the tour duration, inclusions, tickets and communication are valuable, and we will make sure they are shared with our team for careful consideration. We hope that Alicia’s passion and the beauty of Florence still allowed you to take home some special memories of your day. With sincere appreciation, Caf Tour & Travel

If you Renaissance- You’re angry
Alicia!!!! Much better understanding of what went on in Florence! Not as loud outside as in Academia. Remember, all historical “geniuses “ are angry dudes!
Response from the operator: Good Morning from Caf Tour & Travel, Dear Customer, Thank you for your wonderfully memorable review! We’re delighted that Alicia helped you gain a deeper understanding of Florence and its fascinating Renaissance history. We love that you picked up on the personalities behind the city’s great artistic figures — Florence certainly has plenty of dramatic stories to tell! We hope to welcome you back for more historical discoveries and perhaps a few more “angry geniuses” along the way! Warm regards from Florence, Caf Tour & Travel

Why this scores 75
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Heart of Florence Guided Walking Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Florence.
How much does Heart of Florence Guided Walking Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $30 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Florence usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Heart of Florence Guided Walking Tour take?
+
Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Florence is not rushed.
Is Heart of Florence Guided Walking Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 86 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Florence, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Heart of Florence Guided Walking Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Heart of Florence Guided Walking Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Heart of Florence Guided Walking Tour?
+
Around 30 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Florence can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Florence and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Heart of Florence Guided Walking Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Florence within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Florence?
+
On Outty we rank every Florence experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Best tour in Florence: Renaissance & Medici Tales - guided by a STORYTELLER, Florence Pizza or Pasta Class & Gelato Making at a Tuscan Farm, Small group Tuscan Wineries, Olive Oil & Gourmet Lunch or Dinner. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Florence?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Florence?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
