Disappointing experience

Unpleasant experience not delivering was sold, late start of the snorkelling and additional driving after being told lunch was not included by the driver. For the price payed (US$87) I would not recommend this trip at all.

Response from the operator: Thank you for the information and it is not absolutely my driver's fault, my driver is waiting for you at the boat ticket, and you pay 87 USD, which includes hotel pick-up in Bali and return boat pass, snorkeling 3 sports and tour in Nusa Penida. Nusa penida snorkeling experience

Very good experience and staff. You can see manta at the experience and the whole crew was very professional and everything was very smooth. Best day of our trip here.

Nice snorkelling but otherwise not great

We booked this tour based on the positive reviews, however, were rather disappointed. First, we had some problems booking the tour via viator which I resolved using the chat and the lady was very helpful. However, we couldn't organise a pick up from our hotel, and were told that a pick up was only available through the hotel next door, which would only be a 4 min. Walk. It turned out to be 15 min! I've tried to change this with the driver when he contacted me the day before and he confirmed this wasn't possible. There was also a bit of back and forth about the time of pick up as we had paid more to be picked up at 7am (other option 6am) and he wanted to pick us up at 6am rather but then we left it at 7am. What we only realised on the day is that you are picked up by the driver, then dropped off at the ferry terminal in Sanur, then picked up by another driver (who didn't speak the best English either) and then you are walked to another tour operator who facilitates the snorkelling tour. So there are multiple businesses working together which is fine in general but it would have been good to have known this is advance. The booking info says there are a Max of 15 people on the tour, but there were over 20 on the boat. So it ft very impersonal and we felt like being on a conveyor belt. We also waited nearly 45 min at the operators office which wasn't in a very nice location, until everyone had arrived. This left us with little time for the snorkelling. So the main reason why we came to Nusa Penida felt very rushed. The other sights are not really worthwhile visiting either as they are a long drive away and very busy and there is a lot of rubbish everywhere on the island. So we didn't have a very enjoyable day. It also says in the title incl lunch, which we had but it is not included in the total price. As for the pick up for the hotel, we still don't understand why this wasnt possible as we were the only two people picked up from there. At least we got dropped off at our place. I only gave it 3 stars because the snorkelling itself was nice, beautiful fish and corals and we even saw manta rays and everything else went smoothly and the drivers drove us around safely.

Fantastic Snorkelling !!

We really enjoyed this trip to Nusa Penida! We were conveniently picked up from our accommodation in Sanur and taken to the harbor for speed boat transfer to the island. Once we arrived at the island, a friendly guide was waiting to take us to the snorkeling tour meeting point. As our group tour was during the off season, we had to wait for more participants to arrive to the island before starting (which pushed our start time back an hour) . However, this did not negatively impact our experience. At manta bay we were lucky enough to swim with two manta rays! One downside to our experience at manta bay though, was the proximity of the different tour boats to each other and the snorkelers - as we constantly had to be on the lookout to stay away from propellors and swinging hulls rather than looking down at the beautiful reefs. The next stop - Dolphin Bay - was the highlight of the trip as the coral reef was abundant with colorful schools of fish and the snorkeling conditions were calmer and less crowded with other boats. The tour guide was also a great photographer, and we are lucky to take away some great photos of us snorkeling! One recommendation we have for future tour participants is to be considerate of others by taking sea sickness tablets before the tour, as quite a few people on our boat got seasick, causing us to return to shore early and miss out on the final snorkeling location. After snorkeling we visited Broken Beach, Angel's Billabong and Kelingkling with a very friendly and helpful tour guide who also took some great photos of us at these locations. This part of the tour requires a reasonable level of fitness as there are many steep inclines, steps, and rocky areas to navigate. After sightseeing we had lunch and our guide took us back to the harbor and helped us with our boat tickets. Once we arrived back at Sanur harbor our driver was very prompt to take us safely back to our accommodation. We are also especially happy that he waited for us even though our return boat was delayed by heavy rains. His car was very clean and comfortable, and he was also knowledgeable about the surrounding area and recommended places to visit. All in all this tour was a great experience and we highly reccommend it to others!

Great day at Nusa

I went on a day trip with 4 of my girlfriends, it was great on the water snorkelling at different beaches,the views were amazing.
