    What you'll see and do

    1. Scozia Tour

We will leave Edinburgh City Centre at 8.15 am and will be back at 6:30 pm. • From Edinburgh to Berwick-upon-Tweed Firstly, we will approach the border between England and Scotland, stopping in the first English village after the frontier, Berwick-upon-Tweed, where we will enjoy its castle and historical centre. Its position over the river Tweed and the North Sea offers amazing views. We will also have time for a walk in the main street. • Bamburgh Castle Our journey leads us to the impressive Bamburgh Castle which is placed in a unique landscape, next to a white sand beach. Among other movies, El Cid, Robin Hood and Elizabeth have been filmed there. We will be able to visit the castle interior and its massive collection of objects related to aviation from two world wars. • Alnwick Castle Our third stop will be at Alnwick Castle, the second biggest castle in the United Kingdom, whose first buildings were erected in 1096. It will not be too difficult to recognise the most famous school of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Hogwarts, where the younger fans of Harry Potter can also enjoy a broomstick training. We will also catch a glimpse of the wonderful gardens of the Castle and of the biggest treehouse in Europe. For those who prefer not to enter in the Castle, it will be possible to have lunch in the enchanting village of Alnwick. • From Etal to Edinburgh In our way back to Edinburgh, we will be able to enjoy the landscape of the lowlands, stopping in the charming village of Etal where we can admire the ruins of its castle, built in the 14th century as a defence against Scots raiders.

    Harry Potter in Edinburgh

I booked directly through Scozia Tour, via email; this morning at 1:00 PM my daughter and I met with our guide, Camilla, who was very thorough, helpful, and fun... if you are a Harry Potter fan, it is not to be missed!!

    Scenic castles and magnificent views

Fantastic experience. Valeria, our guide is a lovely person. He explained the whole story of the two English castles that will be exposed during the trip. Very prepared and attentive even with children, allowing them to dress up as Harry potter, with his accessories, for the broom lesson. For adults you will be amazed by the beauty of the two castles and the panorama that surrounds them. Valeria told us their story without ever getting bored, giving us freedom of movement once we reach our destination, but also providing tips to optimize the stops and explore the beauty of Alnwick Castle where they filmed the exterior scenes of Harry Potter and Downton Abbey and Bamburgh castle, a fortress that stands on the North Sea, spectacular. Thanks again to Valeria, her professionalism and kindness. I highly recommend this tour and Scotland your and his staff.

    A beautiful experience

The tour was great, we went on July 30 with a beautiful summer day. My daughter and my husband were very happy and Valentina was very thorough and helpful in the comments and in explaining in detail everything we saw. We discovered that she is also a fellow citizen of ours. The Castles and the walk on the beach very particular, to do absolutely.

    A private tour... around castles!

Second day in Edinburgh, we booked this tour to see more, beyond the city. There were 4, it was an almost private tour with our guide Serena who followed us throughout, telling us anecdotes, myths and legends. Beautiful castles visited and the history of those who lived them Well organized tour and with Serena very prepared and attentive to our needs! We got to get into Scottish culture, which is important when you are on holiday for a few days. Result.... We booked a second tour with Serena!

    Great tour in Italian

My friends and I did this tour with Cristina and Beatrice (the driver). Greatly organized tour. Stop halfway at Berwick-upon-Tweed where you could take a walk on the walls and pass by the old cemetery. Arriving at Alwick Castle we saw the places where some outdoor shots of the movie Harry Potter were made. Then there was the option to visit the inside of the castle for an extra fee (we visited it) or stay outside. After lunch we left for Babburgh Castle. Here too the guide explained what we would see inside, but inside he did not accompany us. There was a chance to go to the beach at the foot of the castle. Very nice and suggestive even for the hot day. On the way back we stopped in a village with thatched roofs and a pub where if you wanted you could drink a beer. Absolutely recommended

Harry Potter and English Castle Italian Tour Guide: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Edinburgh.

How much does Harry Potter and English Castle Italian Tour Guide cost?

    +

Prices start at $76 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Edinburgh usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Harry Potter and English Castle Italian Tour Guide take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Edinburgh is not rushed.

Is Harry Potter and English Castle Italian Tour Guide worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Edinburgh, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Harry Potter and English Castle Italian Tour Guide?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Harry Potter and English Castle Italian Tour Guide suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Harry Potter and English Castle Italian Tour Guide?

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Edinburgh can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Edinburgh and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Harry Potter and English Castle Italian Tour Guide start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Edinburgh within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Edinburgh?

    +

On Outty we rank every Edinburgh experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Chocolatarium Chocolate Tour Experience in Edinburgh, The Mountebank Comedy Walk of Edinburgh, Edinburgh: Glenfinnan Viaduct, Glencoe & Fort William. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Edinburgh?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Edinburgh?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
