This day tour allows you to enjoy a unique experience to discover La Rioja and its wineries and taste high quality wines. Departure directly to Haro, capital of Rioja Wine. There, we will visit CVNE, a centenary winery. We will take a guided tour of its essential spaces, including the barrel room designed by the legendary architect Gustave Eiffel and the underground cellars including tasting. We will then go on a guided walking tour of the historic centre of Haro. We will continue to Laguardia, where will start a walk through through its picturesque narrow streets and then take guided tour of a small traditional winery. After the visit, free time for lunch (not included). Before returning to Bilbao, we will pass through Elciego to discover the Marqués de Riscal building, an outstanding example of modern architecture.

Stay Away
Guide never showed up. We were supposed to meet at 8:20 and leave at 8:30. I was at the exact spot their link sent me to. There were several other tours leaving from there, but not this one. Nobody answered the phone number provided until 9. The woman told me the guide should have called me, it wasn't my fault, and they would refund the money. Nevertheless, it messed up part of my trip. Stay away.

A refund was issued, but we recognize that this does not make up for the inconvenience or the impact this had on your travel plans. Great add on to Bilboa stay.
A full day of seeing very interesting places, plus the bonus of travelling into France. If you have ever wondered what Biarritz is like, now is the time to find out. And no problems going over the border. All 3 destinations were worth visiting. Approximately 1 hour was spent in each of the two French towns, with most time being spent in San Sabastian where we also had lunch in a recommended pintxo bar which was an experience in itself. The guide Oni, who was Basque, was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable particularly on Basque culture which was an added bonus!

A great stress free day trip from Bilbao
This was a really great day. Cure brewery guide was especially good. Both towns we visited were short, which we knew beforehand, and a treat on a day trip from Bilbao as not easy to get to by public transport independently.

Disappointed
Not clear where to meet. Lots of people on different tours. Guide arrived after meeting time. First tasting and tour was ok. Second tour was not to an active winery but to a museum(not as expected) The first wine was not drinkable. Tour guide was late in arriving back which meant we had no time to visit the Guggenheim hotel as promised. Very disappointing overall and not good value for money.

Regarding the meeting point, we understand that it may have been confusing, especially with several groups and tours gathering in the same area. Due to the large number of people at the meeting point, the guide was slightly delayed in locating and collecting the group, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this caused. We would also like to clarify that the second visit was to a traditional family-run winery, not a museum. During the visit, the winery staff explained their winemaking process and the history of the winery, followed by a tasting of two of their wines. We are sorry if this was not what you expected, but we would like to assure you that a museum was not part of the itinerary. There was also a slight delay at lunchtime, as some guests took longer than expected, which meant that we left Laguardia later than scheduled. Unfortunately, this affected the timing of the afternoon. Regarding the Guggenheim Hotel/Marqués de Riscal, we would like to clarify that the hotel is not a scheduled stop on this tour. We pass by Marqués de Riscal by road, allowing guests to see the famous building from the outside as part of a panoramic drive. The tour does not include a visit inside the hotel, as the hotel itself cannot be visited in this way. The winery visit is separate from the iconic building, and unfortunately there was not enough time for an additional stop. We are genuinely sorry that the experience did not meet your expectations. We always aim to provide an enjoyable and well-organized tour, and we appreciate your feedback as it helps us improve the experience for future guests.
