Great experience that I...
Great experience that I would recommend. Going to the market and then cooking the fresh ingredients was very fun and well-leaded by the chef! I was the only vegetarian one this day but the chef made sure that my food didn't touch any meat or even that I wasn't near it in a very thoughtful way. Don't hesitate to go in you want to experience Vietnamese cuisine!
Response from the operator: Hi there, thanks so much for your lovely review! Sounds like you had a really fun time from the market visit to cooking with fresh ingredients. We’re especially glad the chef took such thoughtful care of your vegetarian needs and made sure you felt comfortable throughout the class. Really appreciate you joining us and sharing your experience, and we hope to see you again next time you’re in Hanoi! Best regards, Dine With Locals

An Authentic Vegetarian Cooking Experience in Hanoi
We booked a vegetarian cooking class in Hanoi that included a market visit, and we absolutely loved it. Our guide didn’t just explain the ingredients but also shared a lot about Vietnamese cuisine and culture, which made the experience feel very authentic. The market visit was especially interesting, as we gained insights you wouldn’t normally get as a tourist. The cooking class itself was well organized, relaxed, and the food we prepared was absolutely delicious. A wonderful experience that we can highly recommend—especially for anyone who wants to truly understand Vietnamese food and culture.
Response from the operator: Hello, thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the vegetarian cooking class, especially the market visit and cultural insights that made it feel so authentic. It’s wonderful that the class felt well-organized and relaxed, and that you loved the dishes you prepared. We truly appreciate you joining us and are so glad to have had you with us 😊 Warmly, Dine With Locals

Warm, Insightful, and Delicious from Start to Finish
Everything about this class was great! Chef Jesse guided our small group (just five of us) through the local market, explaining how to select fresh ingredients in preparation for a mix of omnivorous, vegetarian, and traditional dishes. With warmth and a sense of humor, he answered our questions about dining and food culture in Hanoi, often drawing connections to our own experiences eating around the city. Back in the kitchen, Jesse clearly and simply walked us step-by-step through making papaya salad, spring rolls, pho, and two styles of Vietnamese coffee, making sure everyone participated throughout. Trained as a chef in Australia, his instruction was both professional and approachable. Given how central food is to life in Hanoi, it was especially meaningful to learn these staple dishes along with a bit of their culinary history and the distinctions between Northern and Southern styles. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a deeper appreciation of Vietnamese cuisine!
Response from the operator: Hello, thank you so much for your wonderful and detailed review! We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the market visit, hands-on cooking, and learning about Vietnamese food culture with Jesse. It’s great that his warm and engaging style made the experience both insightful and approachable for your group. We truly appreciate you joining us and are so glad to have had you with us 😊 Best regards, Dine With Locals

Hanoi Vegan Cooking Class: A Vietnamese Culinary Adventure: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.
How much does Hanoi Vegan Cooking Class: A Vietnamese Culinary Adventure cost?
+
Prices start at $540000 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Hanoi Vegan Cooking Class: A Vietnamese Culinary Adventure take?
+
Plan for about 4.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.
Is Hanoi Vegan Cooking Class: A Vietnamese Culinary Adventure worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Hanoi Vegan Cooking Class: A Vietnamese Culinary Adventure?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Hanoi Vegan Cooking Class: A Vietnamese Culinary Adventure suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Hanoi Vegan Cooking Class: A Vietnamese Culinary Adventure?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 4.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Hanoi Vegan Cooking Class: A Vietnamese Culinary Adventure start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hanoi?
+
On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hanoi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hanoi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
