    Great experience

I started working with Van Anh in the summer of 2000 thinking we'd be able to travel soon, but we all know how that worked out! I was so impressed with her service that when it was time to revisit the trip, I didn't hesitate to contact her again. We are a family of 4 and she planned a 13 day trip for us between Cambodia (Phnom Penh and Siem Reap) and Vietnam (Hoian, Hue and Hanoi). We had amazing guides in all of the locations. Everything was arranged and we just needed to sit back and enjoy the fantastic trip. I highly recommend working with their team! The only thing I would say was that we had a really large van type of vehicle in Vietnam that I thought was far too large for our needs. I would request a smaller vehicle next time. Super minor! Our Ninh Binh portion of the trip was fantastic. I would absolutely recommend adding this to your plans.

Unforgettable Family Trip to Vietnam – Thank You, Asia Travel & Leisure!

If you're planning a holiday in Vietnam, I highly recommend Asia Travel & Leisure. We just returned from a 10-day trip organized by Nga Phan (Vicky), and it was absolutely amazing! From the very start, Vicky was incredibly professional, thoughtful, and attentive. She worked closely with me to plan a trip that was fully customized for my family — especially important since we were traveling with a 3-year-old toddler. She considered every detail to make sure we were comfortable throughout. The itinerary was perfect — we saw and experienced so much, but it never felt rushed. The tour guides were knowledgeable, kind, and always willing to help. Transportation was smooth and well-organized, and our accommodations were exactly what we hoped for. What really stood out was Vicky’s dedication. She stayed in touch before and during our trip, ensuring everything went smoothly. From sending reminders about pick-up times to sharing driver details and checking in to make sure we arrived safely, she was always one step ahead. She was also very open to feedback (especially regarding a hotel in Sapa) and handled everything with such a positive attitude. Thanks to Vicky and the Asia Travel & Leisure team, our family made beautiful memories. My parents had the best time and truly enjoyed every moment. I’m incredibly grateful for the care and effort put into making this trip so special for us. If you’re considering Vietnam, don’t hesitate to book with Asia Travel & Leisure — they’ll take excellent care of you, just like they did for us!

    Very well organized schedules

I spent two weeks travelling in north, central and south Vietnam during this adventure. The travel agency was remarkably well coordinated, I was getting an update of my schedule for the next day with meeting time and place with my guide and driver. I had already gotten a full description and schedule of the trip day by day before departure. My agent Binh was a pleasure to deal with. Always accommodating and responding to my texts immediately. The trip included many locations throughout the country by air, train cruise ship and mini bus or private car. Always on time and very pleasant guides. Highly recommended.

Hanoi - Ninh Binh Day Trip: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.

How much does Hanoi - Ninh Binh Day Trip cost?

    +

Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Hanoi - Ninh Binh Day Trip take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.

Is Hanoi - Ninh Binh Day Trip worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 27 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Hanoi - Ninh Binh Day Trip?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Hanoi - Ninh Binh Day Trip suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Hanoi - Ninh Binh Day Trip?

    +

Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Hanoi - Ninh Binh Day Trip start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hanoi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hanoi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hanoi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
