It is all walking on uneven pavement road. You get to experience local favorite places and traffic is very heavy.

Great Tour - learned and saw lots!
Had a great tour with my excellent scooter captain/guide Vinh. Vinh has studied Vietnam's history and culture extensively and has many stories and much information to share with you. Doing the tour on scooter was loads of fun and for a westerner, a way to get amongst and understand the way (what seems like a very chaotic) traffic system works in Vietnamese cities - have also visited Ho Chi Minh and Da Nang this trip. I recommend Vinh and this tour as a safe, flexible and efficient way of getting around Hanoi and seeing a lot in a relatively short time!
