A perfect afternoon of embroidery
This experience was the best 2.5 hours I’ve ever spent learning from the master emboriderers at Tan My. They were so patient and truly took the time to teach me and helped me create a truly perfect memento from my time in Hanoi. It was so great I’m tempted to do it again this trip! If you are interested in embroidery at all don’t waver: go!
Response from the operator: What a wonderful afternoon you had, Nicole! We are so glad our skilled artisans at Tan My made your embroidery session so rewarding, guiding you with such care and dedication to help you craft a truly special keepsake from Hanoi. The whole team would be absolutely delighted to welcome you back for another session, whether on this trip or the next! A portion of your booking helps provide meals for children in Hanoi hospitals. Thank you for helping us give back to the community. Warmly, Up Travel Vietnam

amazing experience
I had an AMAZING time learning with the experts there on different techniques and was even able to embroider my own motif under their amazing guidance!! My only regret is that I didn't have time to do another workshop with them. If you are looking to discover Vietnamese embroidery, and the amazing work that comes from it, I recommend them hands down!
Response from the operator: Your review genuinely made our whole team smile! We are so thrilled to hear that our expert instructors guided you through such an enriching and hands-on exploration of traditional Vietnamese embroidery techniques, and that you walked away with your very own handcrafted motif to treasure. The whole team was truly delighted to have you with us, and we would love nothing more than to welcome you back for that second workshop you mentioned! A portion of your booking helps provide meals for children in Hanoi hospitals. Thank you for helping us give back to the community. Warmly, Up Travel Vietnam

Memorable souvenir of your trip
It was such a pleasant experience, they were so nice and patient with me having no experience with needlepoint. They gave tips but encouraged me to be creative in my choices and they had a big variety of colors to choose from to make my creation personal. Gave me tea and made my creation into a cute little bag when it was done. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a unique souvenir of your trip.
Response from the operator: Thank you for joining our Traditional Embroidery Workshop in Hanoi! We are delighted our team made the experience patient, welcoming, and creative, from the helpful tips and tea to turning your personal embroidery into a lovely little keepsake bag. It was a pleasure to host you, and we truly appreciate your recommendation. A portion of your booking helps provide meals for children in Hanoi hospitals. Excellent tour guiding services in Hanoi
Spent 5 days at Hanoi in December.. There were 8 of us, all senior citizens. The whole itinerary was well-planned and customized by Linh of UpTravel to meet our requirements. From the moment we arrived till our departure, we were given VIP treatments and every of our needs, requests and changes were met without a hitch. Linh was very responsive and efficient as the tour coordinator. She also provided us with 2 excellent tour guides. Phong was young, energetic and enthusiastic and went out of the way to ensure we had a meaningful time. Son, the second guide was professional and quick to adapt to unforeseen hiccups, even though we only had his services for a day, Because of Linh, Phong and Son, our trip to Hanoi was most memorable. Up Travel is the best travel agency we dealt with in all of our years of travels. And we would strongly recommend them to any visitors needing tour services in Vietnam
Response from the operator: Dear Kevyn, thank you for trusting Up Travel with your 5-day Hanoi journey and for sharing such generous feedback! We are delighted Linh could customize everything smoothly for your group, and that Phong and Son provided thoughtful, flexible, and attentive guidance throughout your stay. It was a true pleasure to host all eight of you, and we deeply appreciate your strong recommendation. A portion of your booking helps provide meals for children in Hanoi hospitals. Thank you for helping us give back to the community. Warm regards, Up Travel Vietnam

Encouraging, positive, rewarding
I had the most fantastic experience learning to embroider for the first time. This was on a 1:1 basis and the instructors were so patient, encouraging and kind. I feel so lucky to be able to take this new skill home after being taught so well by professionals. I can’t thank them all enough. The best experience I’ve had in the city and I would highly recommend to anyone.
Response from the operator: Dear Amy, thank you for joining our Traditional Embroidery Workshop in Hanoi and for sharing such heartfelt feedback! We are delighted our instructors made your first embroidery experience supportive, uplifting, and rewarding, helping you take home both a new skill and a meaningful memory. It was a pleasure to host you, and we truly appreciate your recommendation. A portion of your booking helps provide meals for children in Hanoi hospitals. Why this scores 56
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Hanoi Heritage: Traditional Embroidery Workshop in Ancient House: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.
How much does Hanoi Heritage: Traditional Embroidery Workshop in Ancient House cost?
+
Prices start at $32 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Hanoi Heritage: Traditional Embroidery Workshop in Ancient House take?
+
Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.
Is Hanoi Heritage: Traditional Embroidery Workshop in Ancient House worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Hanoi Heritage: Traditional Embroidery Workshop in Ancient House?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Hanoi Heritage: Traditional Embroidery Workshop in Ancient House suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Hanoi Heritage: Traditional Embroidery Workshop in Ancient House?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Hanoi Heritage: Traditional Embroidery Workshop in Ancient House start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hanoi?
+
On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hanoi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hanoi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
