Trust me! You are not going to believe what you are about to see. Hỏa Lò Prison was a prison used by the French colonists in French Indochina for political prisoners, and later by North Vietnam for U.S. prisoners of war during the Vietnam War. The French called it Maison Central, a generic name for a colonial prison. Whatever its name, the notorious prison housed a century of torture within its walls.

The West Lake is bordered by several significant pagodas. Vietnam’s oldest pagoda, Tran Quoc pagoda, was built in the 6th century and is located on an island in the middle of the West Lake. I booked the tour with Best Price Travel, Rosie Nguyen. Fantastic company and Ms. Nguyen was the best contact.

I booked the tour with Best Price Travel, Rosie Nguyen. Fantastic company and Ms. Nguyen was the best contact during the tour; always extremely prompt with her replies to my what's app questions. The Tour guide spoke good English, was punctual, very knowledgeable and not overbearing. He knew the ins-and-outs of the traffic in the city and could navigate extremely well on the motorcycle. We saw all the landmarks in the itinirary and stopped in a little cafe in the old quarter for coffee. Extremely well organized tour and I would do that again in a heartbeat.

Response from the operator: Dear Shireesha2022, Thank you for your wonderful review! We’re delighted you had a fantastic experience with Best Price Travel and Rosie Nguyen. It’s great to hear Rosie was prompt and helpful, and your tour guide was knowledgeable and skilled. We’re glad you enjoyed the landmarks and the cafe stop in the old quarter. We appreciate your recommendation and look forward to planning more memorable trips for you! Best regards, BestPrice Travel Team

Hanoi City Tour half day by Motorbike with lunch: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.

How much does Hanoi City Tour half day by Motorbike with lunch cost?

+

Prices start at $68 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Hanoi City Tour half day by Motorbike with lunch take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.

Is Hanoi City Tour half day by Motorbike with lunch worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Hanoi City Tour half day by Motorbike with lunch?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Hanoi City Tour half day by Motorbike with lunch suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 4. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Hanoi City Tour half day by Motorbike with lunch?

+

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Hanoi City Tour half day by Motorbike with lunch start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hanoi?

+

On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hanoi?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hanoi?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
