    My eyes were so happy!

Absolutely the best tour we had in Vietnam. Anthony picked us up from our hotel in Hanoi on time and we had a nice drive to the village in Cao Bang. We slept in bamboo house and the food was yummy. You must try the bananas from their banana tree, the best bananas I've ever had. We also enjoyed playing with the dog and the cat. That was a true village life experience. The next day Quan took us to a village where people produce handmade paper. We were able to take part of the production and to experience it ourselves. Beautiful village people, always smiling and welcoming. We also went to see the Angel Eye Mountain. It's is such a beautiful place, I highly recommend you to stay there a couple of days. The whole trip to the Ban Gioc Waterfall made my eyes happy - amazing mountains and canna lilly fields. We could see how they make noodles and they dry them on the sun. Magnificent sights. The Ban Gioc Waterfall is another story - powerful, beautiful, amazing to see. The fourth largest waterfall in the world. In the water, you cross the border between Viet Nam and China. The physical border is less than 1km from the waterfall and on the other side, on Chinese territory, there is a glass bridge you can climb and walk on. However, as it was not planned with the tour we had, we were not able to experience that. I believe you can discuss this opion with Anthony and Quan. After that we went to the Tiger cave. I learned that Vietnam used to have tigers roaming in the forests up till end of 90s. The legend says that one tiger was living in thas cave. It was the most beautiful and largest cave in ever seen up to that point. It is 1.4km long, however do not be afraid, it feels like you've walked only 300m. Most of the time there was no one in the cave just us, which made it more relaxing experience than the cave in Halong Bay. Quan was very friendly, honest and polite. He could answer all my question related to the Vietnamese culture and customs, and he would turn serious topics into fun. I had the best laugh when he was explaining their marriage related customs in the past and now. We returned to the village around 7:30pm, had yummy dinner and went back to Hanoi by sleeper bus. I highly recommend this whole tour to anyone. You will enjoy it if you like village life and nature. The only thing that I believe needs an improvement is the price/itinerary. It was not stated in the description of the itinerary that the not all meals are covered, as well as the trip from Hanoi to Cao Bang is not covered, and we had to pay extra approx $220 AUD. However, it was absolutely worth! 😊

Hanoi - Cao Bang city - Ban Gioc Warterfall 2days/2nights ED7: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.

How much does Hanoi - Cao Bang city - Ban Gioc Warterfall 2days/2nights ED7 cost?

    +

Prices start at $109 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Hanoi - Cao Bang city - Ban Gioc Warterfall 2days/2nights ED7 take?

    +

Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.

Is Hanoi - Cao Bang city - Ban Gioc Warterfall 2days/2nights ED7 worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Hanoi - Cao Bang city - Ban Gioc Warterfall 2days/2nights ED7?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Hanoi - Cao Bang city - Ban Gioc Warterfall 2days/2nights ED7 suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 48-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Hanoi - Cao Bang city - Ban Gioc Warterfall 2days/2nights ED7?

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Hanoi - Cao Bang city - Ban Gioc Warterfall 2days/2nights ED7 start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hanoi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hanoi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hanoi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
