    About this experience

Discover Hanoi’s soul through its most beloved ritual - coffee. First, savour the slow-drip phin coffee using slow-roasting technique and ceramic phin filter. Next, taste a unique pour-over brewed from Fine Robusta beans creatively fermented with rice wine, craft beer yeast, and tropical fruits for unexpected flavors. Finally, sip on the signature Eggpresso inside a charming century-old house that blends timeless heritage with a modern, open atmosphere. Along the way, step inside a century-old ancient house, and wander through the bustling Đồng Xuân Market. While coffee takes center stage, your palate will also be treated to a few authentic Hanoi street bites, each one carefully chosen to complement your cup. You’ll visit charming cafés tucked away in quiet alleys, meet the people behind the brews, and hear stories of how coffee became more than a drink - but a cultural icon of the city.

A wonderful two days guided HaNoi tour

An awesome opportunity to shift timezones while learning about Vietnam’s history and in particular HaNoi’s part - including but not limited to a delightful coffee workshop tailored to avoid my food allergies! The temple of literature, a couple quite beautiful pagodas and local eateries were all part of the two day tours - and such delightful tour guides!! i enjoyed every minute and recommend them highly! I’m still marveling about the train street cup of tea, it seems rather challenging to watch the train chug by within fingertip reach!! The water puppet show was a highlight for my second evening - the gracefulness of the musicians, and the mischievousness of some of the puppets, as well as the pageantry of the final puppetry was amazing and intriguing. Thank you!

Response from the operator: What an incredible two days it sounds like you experienced, and the whole team is so overjoyed to hear that everything from the thoughtfully tailored coffee workshop to the thrilling train street tea moment and the captivating water puppet show left such a lasting mark on you! It is especially heartwarming to know our guides brought Hanoi's rich history, breathtaking temples, and vibrant local food scene to life in such a meaningful way, and that your allergy needs were taken care of with such attentiveness. We would absolutely love to welcome you back to uncover even more of what this remarkable city has in store. A portion of your booking helps provide meals for children in Hanoi hospitals. Thank you for helping us give back to the community. Warmly, Up Travel Vietnam

Hanoi Brew and Bites: A Cultural Coffee and Food Walk: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.

How much does Hanoi Brew and Bites: A Cultural Coffee and Food Walk cost?

    +

Prices start at $35 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Hanoi Brew and Bites: A Cultural Coffee and Food Walk take?

    +

Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.

Is Hanoi Brew and Bites: A Cultural Coffee and Food Walk worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Hanoi Brew and Bites: A Cultural Coffee and Food Walk?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Hanoi Brew and Bites: A Cultural Coffee and Food Walk suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Hanoi Brew and Bites: A Cultural Coffee and Food Walk?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Hanoi Brew and Bites: A Cultural Coffee and Food Walk start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hanoi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hanoi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hanoi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
