A great way to travel around Hanoi

This trip gives you a good look at Hanoi, the Jeep was a great way of seeing the sights. Quang was a excellent driver & Gina was very knowledgeable. The train street was a fantastic experience, the temple vist was interesting just make sure your knees are covered. The food at the end was OK, we thought it was going to be a little taste of Vietnamese food. Egg coffee was a nice way to end the trip

Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful feedback. It was our pleasure to serve you, and we hope to welcome you again soon.

The deeper history of Hanoi

This was the best tour that we have done in Vietnam so far. Paul was the best guide who had a combination of culture, sympathy, and a profound knowledge of the town’s history. We were really impressed with his English and we wouldn’t have gotten to know Hanoi as well if it weren’t for him. The coffee was delicious and the photographer elevated the experience! 100% recommend!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your amazing review and for choosing our Hanoi Army Jeep Tour with Food and Culture Sightseeing! We’re beyond happy to hear that this was the best tour you’ve done in Vietnam so far — that truly means a lot to us. Paul will be thrilled to know you appreciated not only his deep knowledge of Hanoi’s history, but also his warmth and cultural insights. We’ll make sure to pass your kind words on to him and our photographer as well! We're also glad you enjoyed the local coffee — it's one of Hanoi's little treasures! Thank you for the heartfelt recommendation, and we hope to see you again on another adventure soon. Warm regards, The Best Vietnam Tours Team

Thunder lights, camera and action!

A seemingly ordinary city tour in Vietnam’s capital, Hanoi, turned into an amazing experience—complete with spectacular lights (lightning) and sound (thunder) special effects. Yes, it all happened during our 3+ hour convertible vintage jeep ride. A big shoutout to our incredible tour guide, Paul—knowledgeable and caring. My No. 1 recommendation for all future Hanoi visitors: ask for Paul!

Response from the operator: Dear valued guest, Thank you for such a fantastic and creative review! We love how you turned a stormy evening into a “special effects” experience—what a memorable way to explore Hanoi! We’re especially grateful for your kind words about Paul. He truly is a gem—knowledgeable, thoughtful, and passionate about showing the best of our capital city. We’ll make sure he sees your shoutout! Your recommendation means so much to us, and we’d be honored to welcome you—or your friends—back anytime for another unforgettable ride. Warm regards, Best Vietnam Tours

Recommended tour guide Paul

An open-roof jeep ride in Hanoi sounded fun—until it started pouring shortly after we began. What could’ve been a disastrous tour was saved by our amazing guide, Paul. He had raincoats ready and quickly adjusted the itinerary to keep the night enjoyable. A memorable evening in Hanoi—thank you, Paul! Highly recommended.

Response from the operator: Dear valued guest, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience! We’re delighted to hear that—even with Hanoi’s unpredictable rain—Paul’s quick thinking and preparedness kept your open-roof Jeep adventure on track. We’re proud to have guides like Paul who always put our guests’ comfort first, and we’ll be sure to pass along your kind words to him. It was a pleasure showing you Hanoi by night, and we’re thrilled the evening turned into a memorable highlight of your trip. Whenever your travels bring you back to Vietnam, we’d love to welcome you again—rain or shine—for another unforgettable journey. Warm regards, Best Vietnam Tours

Hanoi Army Jeep Tour with Food and Culture Sightseeing: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.

How much does Hanoi Army Jeep Tour with Food and Culture Sightseeing cost?

+

Prices start at $39 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Hanoi Army Jeep Tour with Food and Culture Sightseeing take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.

Is Hanoi Army Jeep Tour with Food and Culture Sightseeing worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Hanoi Army Jeep Tour with Food and Culture Sightseeing?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Hanoi Army Jeep Tour with Food and Culture Sightseeing suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Hanoi Army Jeep Tour with Food and Culture Sightseeing?

+

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Hanoi Army Jeep Tour with Food and Culture Sightseeing start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hanoi?

+

On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hanoi?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hanoi?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
