A very disappointing experience
We booked this 2 day, 1 night cruise as part of our wider holiday travelling around Vietnam. Everyone told us it was a must do and after watching a number of uTube videos decided to go for the Lan Ha Bay trip instead of HaLong Bay as it was quieter/more luxurious etc. My honest recommedndation - save your money and do neither. We were picked up from our hotel in Hanoi at 8am for a 3 hour drive to the Ferry Terminal. We opted for the 'Limousine collection' (a shared minibus with comfier/more spacious seats but still every seat is filled). The Ferry terminal itself is very chaotic - you arrive about an hour before departure however its a shared space for multiple cruises all departing at the same time and then also includes those returning from the previous days cruises - so expect lots of standing around. Bags and then passengers are finally loaded onto the small shuttle boats for the 40 minute trip out to your boat - these boats are quite cramped and warm and the sea is a little choppy so be prepared if you suffer from motion sickness. Your time on the cruise is split between various meal sittings and activities that you can join or you can spend your time in your room/on the main deck. Meals are all included in your package and drinks can be purchased seperately. Food was ok - lunch was a buffet and dinner was a set menu - all ok but not particularly spectacular for the price paid. The waiting staff are very attentive and there are plenty of the to ensure you get whatever you need on the trip. We had booked an Exclusive Suite - rooms are big and nicely decorated with large beds, huge windows and a big bathroom. The downside being the rooms are right at the back of the boat and above the engines so rooms are incredibly noisey and the balcony area really isnt usable due to the noise and diesel fumes. Additionally, the small shuttle boat remains attached the to back of the cruise for the duration so we also had the staff from the smaller boat basically on our balcony for most of the trip. The cruise itself was pretty disappointing - there are probably about 20 boats doing the identical itinery so there are very limited opportunities for pictures of the Unesco site as there are always 5-10 other cruises in the way and the itineries are identical so 3pm means 100s of kayaks spill into the water at the same time. Given the cost of this trip it just feels so unpersonal and 'mass tourism' which is really sad given what they could provide. Day 2 comes with a hideously early wake up call over the ship tannoy to try to get people into the morning excursion. Then follows more food and settling bar bills before the trip back to the Ferry Terminal and back to Hanoi. All together an experience I wouldnt repeat - far too expensive for a 2* and very unpersonal experience

3 day 2 night Peony cruise 🥰
The staff were so attentive making sure our 3 day 2 night cruise on Peony cruise was unforgettable! The food was definitely the highlight with delicious 5 course meals at dinner. Even on our day trip the meal presented to us was unbelievable with fish, chicken, beef stew, rice etc. The rooms were spotless, comfortable and each had its own balcony. It was sad when the cruise was over as all the people were wonderful.

Exceptional, Amazing staff, food, scenery.I absolutely loved my This Cruise
Beautiful all around; my cabin, the whole ship, great staff and delicious food. The staff were brilliant and the boat was wonderful. A little too structured, as it’s not enough swimming and free time. Over all, not enough time on the ship for a 2 Day , 1 Night which was only about 20hours on the ship all up. I definitely needed more time and would have loved to stay longer. Other than that, everything was amazing!! Stay longer if you can, so worth it!

Super nice cruise trip 2 days 1 night. Highly recommended
This is a wonderful cruise to choose for Ha Long Bay. The staff is very attentive, nice and make your experience a very nice one. The food is good and with multiple options, the boat and the room are nicely decorated. The program is also ok but be prepared to wake up very early :)

Halora Kairos Cruise 5* Lan Hạ Bay 2D1N with 2 ways transfer: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.
How much does Halora Kairos Cruise 5* Lan Hạ Bay 2D1N with 2 ways transfer cost?
+
Prices start at $199 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Halora Kairos Cruise 5* Lan Hạ Bay 2D1N with 2 ways transfer take?
+
Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.
Is Halora Kairos Cruise 5* Lan Hạ Bay 2D1N with 2 ways transfer worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 37 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Halora Kairos Cruise 5* Lan Hạ Bay 2D1N with 2 ways transfer?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Halora Kairos Cruise 5* Lan Hạ Bay 2D1N with 2 ways transfer suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 48-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Halora Kairos Cruise 5* Lan Hạ Bay 2D1N with 2 ways transfer?
+
Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Halora Kairos Cruise 5* Lan Hạ Bay 2D1N with 2 ways transfer start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hanoi?
+
On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hanoi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hanoi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
