    Awesome Experience

Bonnie took us to gorgeous waterfalls & gave us landscape photography lessons on both a mirrorless camera with tripod & filters & also on a cellphone. Perfect for beginners & advanced levels. Best Birthday gift ever

    Learned SO Much!

Chris & Bonnie were an absolute pleasure! Don’t be intimidated if you’re traveling solo and/or you’re a novice photographer….I was both of those, still signed up & had learned so much! I used their tips/tricks the rest of my trip through Asheville as I hiked around and will continue to use their lessons moving forward! They took me to a number of really cool and diverse spots so I could experiment with different settings and test my skills. Would 10/10 highly recommend if you’re in the area and want to spend the day learning to snap photos nature (in a more professional way)!

Response from the operator: Thank you for the appreciation Dylan! Sharing the beauty of our area and helping photographers at all levels of experience is really a joy for us. So Glad you found our tips and suggestions helpful to continue your photography journey in Asheville and beyond!

    Excellent Photography Tour and Class

Was a great experience! Super helpful providing tips and guidance to a beginner in photography. Chris and Bonnie both took plenty of time to offer great tips and catered the lessons / trip to my interests. Would definitely go again, they were both very knowledgeable and kind!

Response from the operator: Chris, we enjoyed being with you for the tour, and sharing our passion for photography and the beauty of our region. Glad that you got some tips to continue your photography journey and enjoyment!

    Amazing experience!

Chris and Bonnie were amazing guides and instructors! I’m a newbie photographer and Chris was incredible helping me learn my new camera! Bonnie was incredible with my wife, an experienced photographer helping to sharpen her skills!

A completely useful and delightful afternoon

Delightful, instructive, personalised and inspiring experience with Chris and Bonnie! My husband and I spent 4 hours with our instructors, working individually with each of them who tailor-made instruction to our particular talents and familiarity with photography. We used our IPhones and learned how to use the features of the cameras as well as being introduced to helpful apps. We enjoyed Chris and Bonnie so much that we feel that we made new friends and hope to stay in touch.

Half-Day Tour With Instruction in Vistas & Waterfall Photography: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Asheville.

How much does Half-Day Tour With Instruction in Vistas & Waterfall Photography cost?

    +

Prices start at $150 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Asheville usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Half-Day Tour With Instruction in Vistas & Waterfall Photography take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Asheville is not rushed.

Is Half-Day Tour With Instruction in Vistas & Waterfall Photography worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 26 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Asheville, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Half-Day Tour With Instruction in Vistas & Waterfall Photography?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Half-Day Tour With Instruction in Vistas & Waterfall Photography suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Half-Day Tour With Instruction in Vistas & Waterfall Photography?

    +

Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Asheville can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Asheville and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Half-Day Tour With Instruction in Vistas & Waterfall Photography start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Asheville within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Asheville?

    +

Asheville pairs Biltmore Estate visits with Blue Ridge Parkway waterfall tours, brewery crawls through one of the densest beer scenes in America, and guided hikes in Pisgah. Biltmore ticket handling and parkway route detail are what to check. On Outty we rank every Asheville experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Blue Ridge Parkway and Waterfall Hiking Tour from Asheville, Asheville Historic Downtown Guided Electric Bike Tour with Scenic Views, Gem Mining and Goat Farm Walking Tour in Hendersonville. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Asheville?

    +

April to June and October for autumn colour. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Asheville?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
