Kecak and Fire Dance
The Kecak dance at Uluwatu, set against the majestic backdrop of the Uluwatu Temple perched on Bali's cliffs, tells the tale of Prince Rama's quest to rescue Princess Sita from the demon king Ravana, drawing from the Hindu epic, the Ramayana. As the sun sets, bare-chested male performers form a circle, chanting "cak, cak, cak" in a mesmerizing rhythm, embodying the monkey army led by Hanuman. Against this rhythmic backdrop, the central characters enact their roles with graceful movements and expressive gestures, culminating in a dramatic battle between good and evil. The dance, with its vibrant vocal chants and intricate choreography, creates an immersive cultural experience that leaves spectators spellbound by its power and beauty, showcasing the rich heritage of Balinese tradition amidst the natural splendor of Uluwatu.

Uluwatu Temple, Kevak dance plus GWK statue/ culture Park
Operator was Hire Bali Driver and the driver’s name Berata. He was great! Picked us up from our hotel in Nusa Dua and took us to GWK and then Uluwata Temple / Dance, to a restaurant and delivered back home. A charming guy who was great at English. This is a much much better way of doing the trip than just hiring Grabs or you’ll just get stuck at the Temple for ages if you do that. Ask for Berata (driver’s name) especially if you are in Nusa Dua
Response from the operator: Dear V4083LUscottr, Thank you for your glowing review! We're delighted to hear that you had the best day on your tour and that Berata made a positive impact with his stories and insights. It's wonderful to know you enjoyed the amazing views and overall experience. We truly appreciate your feedback and look forward to welcoming you back for more unforgettable adventures in Bali! Warm regards, Wayan

Nice tour experience
I had a problem with my join-in tour with another operator I booked through Klook. I wanted to focus on the Uluwatu Temple and Kecak Dance Tour, so I asked ChatGPT for nearby tour operators in Ubud. Fortunately, Hire Bali Driver was recommended. I had a fantastic experience with Wah Ko. Even while driving, he shared his knowledge about the tour. He was incredibly hospitable and great at taking vid/pictures. Overall, I had a great experience with this operator. Initially, I was hesitant because they mentioned that Pandawa Beach wasn’t included in the visit. However, Wah Ko explained that the cliff I wanted was actually at the Uluwatu Temple. I will recommend it to my friends and family!
Response from the operator: Dear realmt2018, We would like to say thank you for your kindness for writing a positive review about your trip with one of our driver/tour guide, Wahko. It brings us a lot of happiness knowing that our services has meet your expectation. Reading each of our customers’ comments saying that they are satisfied with the trips we provided feels like a reward for us. We will try our best to continue creating the most memorable trips for our customers. Thank you again for your review. Hopefully we could meet again in the future. Regards, Wayan

Why this scores 81
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Half-Day Tour: Uluwatu Temple and Kecak Fire Dance Show: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Nusa Dua.
How much does Half-Day Tour: Uluwatu Temple and Kecak Fire Dance Show cost?
+
Prices start at $25 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Nusa Dua usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Half-Day Tour: Uluwatu Temple and Kecak Fire Dance Show take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Nusa Dua is not rushed.
Is Half-Day Tour: Uluwatu Temple and Kecak Fire Dance Show worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 81 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 70 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Nusa Dua, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Half-Day Tour: Uluwatu Temple and Kecak Fire Dance Show?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Half-Day Tour: Uluwatu Temple and Kecak Fire Dance Show suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Half-Day Tour: Uluwatu Temple and Kecak Fire Dance Show?
+
Around 25 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nusa Dua can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nusa Dua and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Half-Day Tour: Uluwatu Temple and Kecak Fire Dance Show start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nusa Dua within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Nusa Dua?
+
On Outty we rank every Nusa Dua experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bali Blue Lagoon Snorkeling - Lunch and Transport All Inclusive, Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking Tour - Bali Volcano Adventure, All inclusive Private 3 day tours package : Bali highlights. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Nusa Dua?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Nusa Dua?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
