Amazing Experience in Egypt!

Amazing experience! We booked this tour as part of a 6-day guided tour of Cairo, Giza, Aswan, and Luxor directly with Egypt Tours Portal. There were 10 of us traveling together. I honestly have no negatives to discuss as every aspect of our time in Egypt was well planned, timed, and safe. We were greeted just outside our gate at Cairo airport and assisted through the visa process, baggage claim, and our to our waiting transportation. The vans were comfortable and cool. Our hotels throughout the trip were outstanding, with comfortable beds and great included breakfasts. Our main guide was Essam Elsayed. He treated us like family from day one. Our safety and comfort was clearly his top priority as he made sure we had plenty of water to keep our group hydrated on the hot summer days. He even stopped at a local market to provide us with a taste of fresh dates and mangoes! He is very knowledgeable, answering every question we asked and providing our group with an in-depth explanation at every location we stopped. In Luxor, another guide met our group on arrival, Nermeena Nabil. She was equally as welcoming and knowledgeable, providing us with an exceptional experience there. I 100% recommend this tour group, and specifically Essam and Nermeena, if you are planning trip to Egypt. This was our second time visiting Egypt, the first time though with Egypt Tours Portal, and it was by far the best experience there yet! Thank you so much to this company, tour guides, and drivers (Regab and Mohamed), for welcoming us so warmly to your country, treating us like family, and making our group vacation to Egypt a lifetime happy memory!

It was a good and safe experience.

It was a great experience! The guide was extremely helpful and made the experience fun. All prices were reasonable too. We stayed for three days and the area felt safe inside and outside the hotel. The overall atmosphere was good and there were no places that were super crowded. This is definitely a tour for people who like to travel and lean about the history of Ancient Egypt.

Amazing unforgettable experience!

Wonderful experience!! Essam Elsayed was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable, respectful and insightful. He also really paid attention to the group's needs. Our driver, Mohamed Salah, was also very good. I was highly impressed with his driving skills. He made me feel safe in the very chaotic Cairo & Giza driving. I highly recommend them both. They were the perfect combination. 5 stars!!

Half-Day to the Major-League Giza Pyramids & the Sphinx: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Giza.

How much does Half-Day to the Major-League Giza Pyramids & the Sphinx cost?

+

Prices start at $82 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Giza usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Half-Day to the Major-League Giza Pyramids & the Sphinx take?

+

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Giza is not rushed.

Is Half-Day to the Major-League Giza Pyramids & the Sphinx worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 73 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Giza, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Half-Day to the Major-League Giza Pyramids & the Sphinx?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Half-Day to the Major-League Giza Pyramids & the Sphinx suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 5-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Half-Day to the Major-League Giza Pyramids & the Sphinx?

+

Around 26 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Giza can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Giza and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Half-Day to the Major-League Giza Pyramids & the Sphinx start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Giza within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Giza?

+

On Outty we rank every Giza experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pyramids Sphinx Camel ATV Bike Shopping and Nile Dinner Cruise, Cairo 8 Hour Private Tour of Pyramids & Grand Egyptian Museum, Pyramids Sphinx and Grand Egyptian Museum Nile Felucca or Bazaar. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Giza?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Giza?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
