The best afternoon in Buenos Aires
The afternoon we spent with Marcelo and Cecilia was the highlight of our time in Buenos Aires. They collected us from our hotel and as they drove us to the dance studio, started to share some of the history of tango. We then had an hour’s lesson with a break for mate and delicious cakes. Never having danced tango before they patiently took us step by step until we could make our way (simply) round the dance floor and they said we were ready to do to an afternoon milonga at a tango club. By far the least accomplished people there, they took us to the dance floor to gain our confidence and we were soon making our way round as a couple. We enjoyed drinks and food as well as watching others. A truly memorable afternoon. We couldn’t imagine a kinder or more professional team to learn from.
Response from the operator: Hi Joelle and Andrew! Thank you very much for your kindness! You were great at the class and enjoying at the milonga! Our aim in the Tango experiences, is that you experience and enjoy Tango as a local, and we are very happy if we achieved that! Thank you again for your bright energy, and we hope that you continue with your Tango lessons and experiences in this new road in your life! Hope to see you soon back in Buenos Aires for more Tango! Kind regards! Marcelo and Cecilia

A Wonderful Experience for Two Ladies Traveling
My friend and I visited Buenos Aires and wanted to learn to dance the tango but we were two women traveling without partners. No problem! Our instructors Marcelo and Cecilia taught us the couple moves and then we added Diego to the mix to serve as the extra male dancer. What makes this experience special is that we then practiced what we learned by visiting a milonga afterwards. That worked out great since both my friend and I were able to dance with the two male instructors. They also took photos and videos of the day which allowed us to bring home those memories. An unforgettable experience. Ladies, I highly recommend it! Go for it!

Tango lessons done right
The tour was done professionally and with eagerness to convey the dance style of tango to us. They were patient and helpful. Instruction was on the mark and was obvious they knew how to quickly make improvements to anyone’s current dance abilities for the method to tango. History and culture was explained and appreciated the snack and tea offered. The dance hall is dated but made it exactly right for the overall feel of the tango tour.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your feedback! It helps us improve our service and help you enjoy the most out of your Tango experience!

An exclusive and wonderful adventure
What a wonderful time we had with Marcelo and Flor. This alone was worth the trip to Buenos Aires - From collecting us at the Hotel - a car just for 2 - Marcelo shared his live and enthusiasm of the Tango. The lesson - effectively one to one - was perfect and a great introduction to this amazing dance! This was followed by an introduction to the Milongas and left us spell bound! Can't wait fir the next time - We can not recommend this event enough. Thank You Marcelo and Flor Ray & Christine
Response from the operator: Dear Christine and Ray ! Thank you very much for your feedback ! It was a pleasure to share with you, our passion for Tango ! You are great people with a very bright energy, and we hope that the taste for Tango that started with your Tango class, and continued at the Milongas, will accompany you throughout your lives. Hope to see you very soon for more Tango and Milongas in Buenos Aires ! Kindest Regards from Flor and Marcelo at Tangostreets !!

Marcelo and assistant were excellent instructors and provided basic steps and moves for Tango. This was a one hour private lesson followed by a delightful 3 hour visit to a Tango Club to practice.

Why this scores 59
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Half-Day Tango Lesson and Milongas in Buenos Aires: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Buenos Aires.
How much does Half-Day Tango Lesson and Milongas in Buenos Aires cost?
+
Prices start at $140 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Buenos Aires usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Half-Day Tango Lesson and Milongas in Buenos Aires take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Buenos Aires is not rushed.
Is Half-Day Tango Lesson and Milongas in Buenos Aires worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Buenos Aires, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Half-Day Tango Lesson and Milongas in Buenos Aires?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Half-Day Tango Lesson and Milongas in Buenos Aires suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Half-Day Tango Lesson and Milongas in Buenos Aires?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Buenos Aires can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Buenos Aires and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Half-Day Tango Lesson and Milongas in Buenos Aires start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Buenos Aires within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Buenos Aires?
+
On Outty we rank every Buenos Aires experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Argentine Cooking, Wine & Beef Tasting at Argentine Experience, Historical Sherpa Food Tour of San Telmo with Street Food, Drinks, Cooking Class with Empanadas Steak & Flan by Argentine Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Buenos Aires?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Buenos Aires?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Half-Day Tango Lesson and Milongas in Buenos Aires?
+
