Family trip sunset
Enjoyable fun filled family evening out with trip to old village, monastery, mountain top sunset views and meal in local taverna in 4x4 jeep. Thermas the guide was super and made the trip. He brought lots of energy enthusiasm and fun to the trip. He was very knowledgeable and you can see he is very proud of Crete. Views of sunset were class. Thank you.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for choosing us for your family night out! We are thrilled to hear that Thomas brought so much positive energy and shared his passion for Crete with you. It is wonderful that you enjoyed the mountain sunset and our village tour. Best regards, Cretan Safari Alkmini

Rethymno Sunset Dinner and Wine Tour
Good Tour with a great concept. Guide was hard working and very informative and personable; however, we had to walk to meet the tour from the heart of old town to meet the tour on time while other tour guests were late despite being picked up at their hotels directly. Also, beware that the safari experience is real and those such as 3 of us had to ride in the very back of a Land Rover which was very uncomfortable and not at all what we expected from this Cretan Safari advertised experience! Further, a very brief stop at the monastery of Arkadi was so short on time at additional cost and not worthwhile! Again, this tour is fundamentally a good concept but the execution can and should be improved with more focus on appropriate and meaningful stops. Highlight of the tour was the upper mountain sunset viewing!
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed our guide's expertise and the mountain sunset view. We have noted your comments regarding the tour's logistics and itinerary. Your input is valuable as it helps us evaluate and refine our services. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future. Best regards Cretan Safari Alkmini

A Highlight of my holiday - An unforgettable evening
It was an amazing experience I would definitely recommend. Angelo our driver was brilliant as was all of the staff. The visit to the village is great and so informative with amazing cheeses, olive oil and Raki! As we visited the Monastery at around 6.00pm it was empty and we had it to ourselves. It is beautiful. The sunset was amazing and the staff hand round wine. We then finished at a Taverna in the mountains for the most amazing authentic food and the wine kept flowing! Also stopped of in the mountains for an amazing view over a reservoir and some local stories which were very entertaining. Loved it! 10/10

Thank you Antonis, you were wonderful!!
The tour was absolutely beautiful. The sunset was even more stunning. Our guide, whose name is Antonis, was incredibly cultured and kind. He really put in a lot of effort and explained everything to us very well. We got to try homemade olive oil, olives, and cheese. We visited all the places that were described. It was a wonderful experience!
Response from the operator: Your review made our day. It’s a pleasure to know you enjoyed the trip and felt well taken care of by our team. Cretan Safari Alkmini

Half Day Sunset Tour in Rethymno with Dinner and Wine: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Chania.
How much does Half Day Sunset Tour in Rethymno with Dinner and Wine cost?
+
Prices start at $96 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Chania usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Half Day Sunset Tour in Rethymno with Dinner and Wine take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Chania is not rushed.
Is Half Day Sunset Tour in Rethymno with Dinner and Wine worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Chania, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Half Day Sunset Tour in Rethymno with Dinner and Wine?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Half Day Sunset Tour in Rethymno with Dinner and Wine suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Half Day Sunset Tour in Rethymno with Dinner and Wine?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chania can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chania and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Half Day Sunset Tour in Rethymno with Dinner and Wine start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Chania within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Chania?
+
On Outty we rank every Chania experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cretan Safari – 4x4 Adventure to Preveli Beach with Lunch, Elafonisi & Falasarna Small Group Tour from Chania w/snacks, Half-Day Rethymno Quad Safari. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Chania?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Chania?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Half Day Sunset Tour in Rethymno with Dinner and Wine?
+
Included: Private transportation; and Dinner. Not included: Entrance fees. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
Does Half Day Sunset Tour in Rethymno with Dinner and Wine include hotel pickup?
+
Yes, pickup is offered for every traveler from 93 listed pickup locations in and around Chania. Be ready about 20 minutes before the start time. You can also enter a custom pickup address when booking.
What languages is Half Day Sunset Tour in Rethymno with Dinner and Wine offered in?
+
It is offered in German, English and French. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.
Will I get instant confirmation and a mobile ticket for Half Day Sunset Tour in Rethymno with Dinner and Wine?
+
Confirmation is sent by the operator after booking, usually within 48 hours; if it is not confirmed you are not charged. Mobile tickets are accepted, so you can show the voucher on your phone.
