Fantastic tour to Khao Sok national park
A fantastic afternoon tour to visit Khao Sok National Park. Our guide Gay was full of enthusiasm and made our tour memorable. We were picked up in a comfortable air conditioned minivan, with Alex driving us smoothly between locations. The scenery at the national park is stunning and well worth the drive. The views along the river during our bamboo rafting were equally spectacular and probably the highlight of our trip. We were very lucky to see an elephant taking a break from the heat, bathing in the river with their mahout at their side. We found the small group size (max 8), comfort of the transport and overall service gave the tour a luxurious and personal feel, so booked another tour with them - that was equally fantastic! Thanks so much for helping our holiday be so special!

Great afternoon.
Really enjoyable 4–5 hours. It was lovely to see and feed the monkeys. The rafting was so peaceful, with beautiful scenery all around. We stopped for bamboo coffee and were allowed to keep the bamboo cup, which we were really pleased with. The guide on the raft spoke good English and was very informative, pointing out things about the surrounding nature. Our driver was also really friendly and even stopped on the way back so we could take photos at one of the viewpoints.

Amazing experiences, great guides, small groups
We had an amazing experience with Khao Lak Planner. We ended up using them for three different tour activities. Toto who runs the business is super experienced, knows exactly how to cater to tourists, and makes the booking process simple. Toto makes sure that the groups are small - on all three tours we went on there were no more than 8 people - so the tours don’t feel crowded or rushed at all and the experiences are super memorable. We got a very strong sense that this tour company values highly the natural environment and local communities. We definitely felt that our environmental footprint was small and that a good portion of our money was being spent in smaller communities. On all three tours we were so fortunate to have Gay as our guide. She is the most lovely person, extremely funny and knowledgeable about Khao Lak and Thailand in general. She speaks beautiful English, and made us all very comfortable. Gay showed us all the hidden spots and gave us awesome recommendations for restaurants and other experiences in Thailand. We really miss being in Thailand and Khao Lak and are extremely fortunate to have met Gay on our travels. We highly recommend this tour company. We can’t wait to return and try the rest of the tours they have on offer.

Great way to spend a half day
This tour was a lovely way to see the “jungle” side of Thailand - the river rafting was beautiful (and safe) and the coffee is amazing! Our guide Gay was very informative and bubbly and tailored our adventure to our interests and schedule.

Why this scores 75
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Half Day : Sok River + Monkey Temple + View Point: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Khao Lak.
How much does Half Day : Sok River + Monkey Temple + View Point cost?
+
Prices start at $58 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Khao Lak usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Half Day : Sok River + Monkey Temple + View Point take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Khao Lak is not rushed.
Is Half Day : Sok River + Monkey Temple + View Point worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 34 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Khao Lak, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Half Day : Sok River + Monkey Temple + View Point?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Half Day : Sok River + Monkey Temple + View Point suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Half Day : Sok River + Monkey Temple + View Point?
+
Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Khao Lak can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Khao Lak and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Half Day : Sok River + Monkey Temple + View Point start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Khao Lak within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Khao Lak?
+
On Outty we rank every Khao Lak experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Thai Cooking Class in Khao Lak by Amazon Prime Series Chef, Riverside Thai Cooking Half Day Class, Riverside Thai Cooking Class in Khao Lak with Market Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Khao Lak?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Khao Lak?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
