    About this experience

Whether traveling on your own, or as a couple or group, you are sure to have a good time! The boat for this snorkeling cruise has a capacity of 65 people and includes a bathroom. There is room to dance and places where you can lie down and enjoy the sunshine. At our first stop, we snorkel for 30 minutes along a reef filled with tropical fish of different colors and coral. After snorkeling we enjoy the unlimited open bar, snacks, and party with music. We play great music, but you can also request any song you would like to listen to. Then we will stop at the natural pool, which has shallow water, while the bartender keeps serving you drinks.

    Would not book

Booked this snorkeling tour during our stay in Punta Cana after reading so many good reviews but were quite disappointed. After booking, we received a confirmation message on what’s app. Transportation picked us up from our hotel promptly an hour prior to the start of our tour, and we drove to the beach. We then got into a small boat which then took us to our bigger boat a few yards away in the water. The crew did play music and offered a brief but vague explanation of the day. When we got to the Punta Cana reef, I noticed there were multiple other boats in the same area snorkeling as well. We did see some tropical fish and corals which was cool, but I did not feel it was enough time in the water. In total, we snorkeled for about only 20 minutes out of the few hours of the tour. We then went to a natural pool area where we spent about 50 minutes. This area was crowded, and loud with all different music blasting from other boats docking in the area. Our tour guides were not very friendly and I felt like we were almost inconveniencing them by being there. The perk is that they did offer beer and mixed drinks on board, and there was a photographer who took some nice photos of my boyfriend and I. Be aware that this tour is advertised as snacks included and we were just offered pineapple and watermelon on a tray, and then a woman came around offering a tray of chips and salsa to everyone. Overall I would not recommend this tour to anyone. It’s worth the extra money elsewhere for a better experience.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience. We are sorry to hear that the tour did not fully meet your expectations. Our snorkeling excursion is designed as a combination of snorkeling, the natural pool, music, drinks, and relaxation. Snorkeling time may vary depending on sea conditions and safety requirements. The natural pool is one of Punta Cana’s most visited attractions and can be busy, especially during peak hours. We appreciate your comments regarding the crew and the snacks provided, as guest feedback helps us improve. We are happy to hear that transportation was punctual, you enjoyed seeing the marine life, and that the photographer captured some great memories for you and your boyfriend. Thank you again for your feedback, and we wish you a wonderful rest of your vacation in Punta Cana.

Half-Day Snorkeling Cruise and Natural Pool with Open Bar: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Punta Cana.

How much does Half-Day Snorkeling Cruise and Natural Pool with Open Bar cost?

    +

Prices start at $59 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Punta Cana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Half-Day Snorkeling Cruise and Natural Pool with Open Bar take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Punta Cana is not rushed.

Is Half-Day Snorkeling Cruise and Natural Pool with Open Bar worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 90 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Punta Cana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Half-Day Snorkeling Cruise and Natural Pool with Open Bar?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Half-Day Snorkeling Cruise and Natural Pool with Open Bar suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Half-Day Snorkeling Cruise and Natural Pool with Open Bar?

    +

Around 31 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Punta Cana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Punta Cana and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Half-Day Snorkeling Cruise and Natural Pool with Open Bar start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Punta Cana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Punta Cana?

    +

On Outty we rank every Punta Cana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Punta Cana Zipline - 8 lines and a suspenseful hanging bridge, Punta Cana Buggy or ATV Tour with Macao Beach, Cave and Tastings, Buggy Excursion to Macau Beach and Natural Cave. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Punta Cana?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Punta Cana?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
