After the earthquake in Arequipa in 1687 there was a massive use of the construction system with Sillar, and when it was perfected, the beautiful colonial architecture of Arequipeña resulted. The quarries of Sillar come from the eruptions and in the tour we will be able to appreciate the cutters of this stone in their daily tasks, as well as some samples of carvings. In this place we can see where the masons take Ignimbrite and then patiently develop the Sillar, they will explain in detail the preparation there and we will also learn the story behind the Sillar.
