This excursion combines the three most popular Buddhist temples in Bangkok. Start the tour with a visit to the Royal Grand Palace, a great architectural masterpiece of several buildings from the outside and a magical inside, which was used as a royal residence from the 18th century to the mid-20th century. It is without any doubt a national reference and possibly the most visited royal monument of Thailand, which shouldn’t be missed. The building houses "Wat Po", Bangkok's oldest temple, in which is located the famous gold leaf-covered reclining Buddha. This tour includes also the temple "Wat Traimit" with its 5.5-ton Golden Buddha. On the way back you will have a chance to see many magnificent temples and architectural buildings, for example the City Pillar Shrine, National Museum, Democracy Monument, Golden Mountain, and the Parliament House along Ratchadamnoen Road (The Royal’s Way).

Highly Recommend!
Our guide was so knowledgeable. She shared so much about the history while we were driving to the Palace and at the Palace. Very good. The driver was very good too - didn't talk but was very pleasant and professional. The guide took some very good photos of us. Wonderful trip - highly recommend!

While the temples it self...
While the temples it self were beautiful but the tour guide was a racist. He had offended us by stating we do not look “American” like the Caucasians in the group since we were Asian. It was offensive and uncalled for. He needed to be educated on America’s history of being a melting pot. Will not recommend this tour if this is the tour guide for all future Viator Bangkok temple tours.

Even better with a guide!
We truly enjoyed seeing the beautiful temples and learning the history of the city. Our guide Nort was extremely helpful and informative and his passion for history. Love and pride shown through. I would highly recommend this tour. We had considered going solo and I’m so thankful we went with the guided tour!

Ease of visiting temples worthwhile
North was our efficient and helpful guide which so streamlined our visits. I cannot do stairs easily after knee replacement and he found us elevator access points. It was a small group of 3 since one couple failed to show. The tour began very early which made an even earlier wake up time necessary in order to call and arrange a Bolt pick up to get us into near the center to arrive at one of the few hotels designated for van pickup. However, the early time put us ahead of the many crowds. We were there before opening at ur first temple stop to see the GOLD Buddha. We were given ample time to see what we wanted. With rain a threat north and his helpful driver provided umbrellas for us should we needed them. Even though the Gem Shop at the end was above our budget, the video about Thailand’s gemstones was informative and the extensive showroom was an enjoyable window shopping experience for amazing jewelry that doesn’t fit our casual lifestyle Thanks north for all the care you took and getting us dropped off at the BTS.
Response from the operator: Dear valued Guest, Thank you for your very positive feedback. We appreciate your kind words for our guide and we are happy you enjoyed every part of the tour. We hope to be of your choice for your future holiday destinations. Kind regards, Customer Service team

Half-Day Royal Grand Palace and Bangkok Temples Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bangkok.
How much does Half-Day Royal Grand Palace and Bangkok Temples Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $79 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bangkok usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Half-Day Royal Grand Palace and Bangkok Temples Tour take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bangkok is not rushed.
Is Half-Day Royal Grand Palace and Bangkok Temples Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 22 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bangkok, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Half-Day Royal Grand Palace and Bangkok Temples Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Half-Day Royal Grand Palace and Bangkok Temples Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Half-Day Royal Grand Palace and Bangkok Temples Tour?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bangkok can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bangkok and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Half-Day Royal Grand Palace and Bangkok Temples Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bangkok within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Bangkok?
+
On Outty we rank every Bangkok experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bangkok Backstreets Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Old Siam Bangkok Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Tingly Thai Cooking Class with Morning Market Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bangkok?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bangkok?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Half-Day Royal Grand Palace and Bangkok Temples Tour?
+

Does Half-Day Royal Grand Palace and Bangkok Temples Tour include hotel pickup?
+

What languages is Half-Day Royal Grand Palace and Bangkok Temples Tour offered in?
+
