A SCAM!
This business is a SCAM!!! Do not book with them. They claim to accept your reservation and take payment and then ghost you. The night before the tour they “cancelled” claiming “administration” issues. Now they say they need to resolve their own issues before they issue a refund. And their emails are clearly written by chapt gpt. Don’t believe the positive reviews. This is a scam.

Professionalism = 0
Unprofessional company. They canceled a whale-watching excursion 10 days before the event without providing the slightest explanation and without even deigning to reply to a message. Clearly, it is now also impossible to find it again with others. TRULY TERRIBLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL

Must do with Marie & Julien for honeymooners
The experience of private whale watching with Marie and Julien was wonderful; and they are very nice people to spend the afternoon with! They came to pick us up at the hotel, their boat is very nice and modern, they are well informed and professional and most importantly they respect all rules to preserve the whales environment and life (versus some other tour operators). We managed to see & swim with whales and wait for them at the right spot, we swam so close to them, the baby whale played with us and Marie guided us so well. We felt safe all the way long although it is a very impressive animal to swim with. After that, we had a very bespoke tour as after swimming with the whales we went to see turtles and little sharks. It was perfect for our honeymoon holiday and we would go again with them if we ever come back. Especially for me it was important to choose professionals who would respect the animals and their environment while doing this amazing experience. I hope governments will keep allowing whale watching and swimming as long as professional respect rules and animal privacy.

Thank you again for making our dream come true!
We were really lucky to rely on Julien and Marie! After several unsuccessful tours, we were discouraged and worried that we would not be able to fulfill our dream of swimming with whales. Instead, they, with great professionalism, passion and dedication, did everything possible to give us this opportunity, despite the weather being unfavorable and the sea rather rough. Thanks to their experience and attention, we were able to live a unique and unforgettable experience, which we will always carry in our hearts. If you are looking for a reliable and really prepared team, Julien and Marie are highly recommended! Thank you again for making our dream come true!

Half Day Private Whale Watching in Moorea: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Papeete.
How much does Half Day Private Whale Watching in Moorea cost?
+
Prices start at $1,427 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Papeete usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Half Day Private Whale Watching in Moorea take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Papeete is not rushed.
Is Half Day Private Whale Watching in Moorea worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 41 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable nightlife in Papeete, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Half Day Private Whale Watching in Moorea?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Half Day Private Whale Watching in Moorea suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Half Day Private Whale Watching in Moorea?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Papeete can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Papeete and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Half Day Private Whale Watching in Moorea start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Papeete within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Papeete?
+
On Outty we rank every Papeete experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 5 Hours Tahiti Island Tour - West and East Coast - small group, Moorea 4WD Tour: Magic Mountain, Belvedere, Pineapple Road & More, Moorea 6-Hour Snorkeling and Lunch Shared Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Papeete?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Papeete?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Half Day Private Whale Watching in Moorea?
+
Included: Carbonated beverages; Bottled water; Bath towels; Snacks; and Use of snorkeling equipment. Not included: Lunch; and Gratuities. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
Does Half Day Private Whale Watching in Moorea include hotel pickup?
+
Yes, pickup is offered, or you can meet at the start point instead from 21 listed pickup locations in and around Papeete. Be ready about 30 minutes before the start time. You can also enter a custom pickup address when booking.
What languages is Half Day Private Whale Watching in Moorea offered in?
+
It is offered in English and French. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.

+
