What you'll see and do
Corinth Canal
Depart from and drive along the coast line until we reach the Corinth Canal where we will make a brief stop. The Corinth Canal connects the Gulf of Corinth with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea. It cuts through the narrow Isthmus of Corinth and separates the Peloponnese from the Greek mainland, arguably making the peninsula an island. ls considered one of the great engineering accomplishments of Greece. The canal was dug through the Isthmus at sea level and has no locks. It is 6.4 kilometres (4 mi) in length and only 21.4 metres (70 ft) wide at its base. The canal was constructed from 1880 to 1893, however, it is something that shipowners and captains had dreamed about for some 2000 years before it became a reality.

Ancient Corinth (Archaia Korinthos)
Ancient Corinth was one of the most important cities of ancient Greece. It was this megalopolis where the Apostle Paul arrived, worked and established a prosperous church, and later on he wrote two of his epistles, which are now part of the New Testament. We will visit the ruins of the old city where St. Paul worked You will admire also the Temple of Apollo, that is one of the oldest temples in Greece dating back to the 6th century B.C.

Ancient Corinth is a must see.
This tour was a top highlight of our trip to the Mediterranean. Convenient pick up and drop off right at our rental apartment in a nice tour van. Our licensed tour guide Nia was amazing and well worth the slight extra charge. She took the time during our ride to Corinth to get to know us so that she could understand what we would be interested in hearing about. The ancient city of Corinth is certainly worth the drive to avoid the crowds in Athens for a place that is just as interesting.

Excellent half day trip to Corinth
Our group of 8 had a private half day tour to Corinth with Michael as our tour guide. The van was spacious and comfortable and Michael was a great guide. He gave us lots of background and history on the sights we saw and was able to answer all our questions. It was a very hot day and he was always sure to keep us well supplied with water. The tour itself was great and I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to venture out of Athens and see some more amazing ancient history!

Great Corinth Visit
Our driver, Michael, was fantastic. He was intelligent and very friendly. We visited the historical castle - which was an enchanting uphill walk.

Why this scores 63
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Half Day Private Tour to Ancient Corinth: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.
How much does Half Day Private Tour to Ancient Corinth cost?
+
Prices start at $64 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Half Day Private Tour to Ancient Corinth take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.
Is Half Day Private Tour to Ancient Corinth worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Half Day Private Tour to Ancient Corinth?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Half Day Private Tour to Ancient Corinth suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Half Day Private Tour to Ancient Corinth?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Half Day Private Tour to Ancient Corinth start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Athens?
+
On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Athens?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Athens?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
