What makes this experience stand out is that nothing here is staged, polished, or dressed up for show. Guests step straight into the real working rhythm of Crete — the groves where families still tend their trees by hand, the micro-wineries where winemakers argue lovingly over harvest dates, the village kitchens where recipes are older than the walls themselves. You’re not shuffled through big factories or tourist traps; you’re welcomed into places that normally open their doors only to neighbours and friends. And because every stop is small-scale and family-run, the day unfolds with the calm pace of old Crete. You taste products made in tiny batches, walk through landscapes shaped by tradition, and share a meal that feels more like Sunday lunch than a tour inclusion. It’s authentic, personal, and grounded in the way things have always been done — a reminder that the island’s true flavour comes from its people, not its brochures.

    Incredible day

What an incredible day We started off with the Olive Mill which was lovely, it was really interesting to learn about the production and the olive oil tasting was great. It was the first time I have done this kind of experience and it did not disappoint The winery tour however stole the show. What a wonderful family run winery. The family were so welcoming and it was heartwarming to learn of the history and the connection to the local community. The wine was also fantastic The lunch to finish was just the icing on the cake. All the food was really tasty and we all left with full bellies and warm hearts This trip was the highlight of the holiday

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for such a heartfelt review. We are truly happy to hear that the day became the highlight of your holiday. It’s wonderful that you enjoyed the olive mill and your first olive oil tasting experience, but we especially loved reading your words about the family-run winery. That sense of history, hospitality and connection to the local community is exactly what makes places like this so special, and we’re glad you felt it too. And finishing the day with good food, full bellies and warm hearts sounds exactly right to us! Thank you again for choosing to spend the day with us and for sharing your experience so beautifully. We hope Crete brings you back again one day.

    Would thoroughly recommend

We had a wonderful day on this tour. The soap makers were so informative and passionate about their craft. The shop is beautiful with very affordable quality products. The olive tasting and tour was very informative and the olive oil delicious The vineyard and wine tasting was just perfect. It was so good to meet the man and his family who make the wine with such dedication. They were a delight to meet. Finally lunch in a small village was a feast and was accompanied by more wine ! It was a lovely opportunity to get to meet our fellow travellers. Finally our driver was both well informed and very funny, All round great value

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed review! We're absolutely delighted to hear that you had a wonderful day from start to finish. It's fantastic that the soap makers left such a strong impression—their passion and knowledge really do shine through, and we're glad you found their shop beautiful and their products affordable. The olive oil tasting is always a favorite, and we're happy you enjoyed learning about the process while savoring the delicious results. The vineyard visit sounds like it was a true highlight for you, and we couldn't agree more—meeting the winemaker and his family, seeing their dedication firsthand, and tasting wines made with such care is something special. We're so glad they made your experience memorable. And of course, lunch in that small village restaurant is our hidden gem! We love that it gave you a chance to enjoy a true feast (with more wine!) and connect with your fellow travelers over good food and conversation. Last but certainly not least, we're thrilled that your driver was both well-informed and funny—that balance of knowledge and warmth is exactly what we aim for. Thank you again for saying it was all-round great value. That means the world to us. We hope to welcome you back to Crete one day soon!
