About this experience
Easy hike in mountain with great views. With this trail we will discover an interesting and panoramic place on the mountains over Lake Como in the Lecco side. The guide will collect you in Milan and in about 60 minutes driving we will reach Piani dei Resinelli an old fashioned location in Valsassina. We will hike along a little natural park reaching the top of Mount Coltiglione where the view on the Dolomitic Grignetta is very interesting. We will walk along the wide ridge reaching the side of the mountain overlooking the town of Lecco and its lake. Then with a little descent we will go over the "Belvedere dei Resinelli" a footbridge suspended in the mountain. Taking this hike with a guide will be a great experience where I will tell you about nature and local culture. I will tell you about plants, flowers, geology, geomorphology, alpine legends and typical local products.

What you'll see and do
Milan
Meeting in Molino Dorino Subway station where the guide with his car will take you to Piani dei Resinelli (about 60 minutes). During the trip we will pass by the lake near the town of Lecco where Alessandro Manzoni took inspiration to write his famous historical novel published for the first time in 1827 "I promessi sposi", The Betrothed.
60 minutes here
At the beginning of our hike we will have the peak of Grignetta, Grigna Meridionale, in front of us, admiring its Dolomite spiers. The guide will tell you about the geology and geomorphology: Now we see the mountains but millions of years ago there was the sea here.
Pass by without stopping
Parco Valentino
Parco del Valentino is an ancient mountain pasture and partly an ancient private hunting reserve of a noble family from Lecco. Today it is a small area managed by the local mountain community. Our hike takes place within the park area where at first with a short and steeper (not too much!) path we walk on top of Monte Paradiso and Monte Coltiglione from which it is possible to admire Monte Resegone in front of us, while on the opposite side, if visibility is good, we will be able to see Monte Rosa 4,634 m (15200 ft). From the two easy peaks connected by a wide ridge we will descend towards the Belvedere with its walkway overlooking the lake and the mountain. After a break admiring the Lake and the beautiful panorama we will hike in the beech forest going back Piani dei Resinelli with a little different path.
180 minutes here
From the top of Monte Coltiglione you can overlook the city of Lecco. The guide will tell you about its ancient origin and transformation from being one of the beating hearts of Italian culture to important industrial site.

Why this scores 65
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Half Day Hiking Tour in The Dolomitic Milanese Mountain: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lake Como.
How much does Half Day Hiking Tour in The Dolomitic Milanese Mountain cost?
+
Prices start at $70 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lake Como usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Half Day Hiking Tour in The Dolomitic Milanese Mountain take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lake Como is not rushed.
Is Half Day Hiking Tour in The Dolomitic Milanese Mountain worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lake Como, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Half Day Hiking Tour in The Dolomitic Milanese Mountain?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Half Day Hiking Tour in The Dolomitic Milanese Mountain suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Half Day Hiking Tour in The Dolomitic Milanese Mountain?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lake Como can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lake Como and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Half Day Hiking Tour in The Dolomitic Milanese Mountain start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lake Como within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lake Como?
+
On Outty we rank every Lake Como experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Small-Group Lake Como & Lugano: 2 Countries in 1 Day, Boat Cruise, Como, Bellagio & Varenna: Small Group from Milan with Boat Cruise, Small-Group Lake Como: Bellagio, Varenna, Hidden Gorge & Boat. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lake Como?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lake Como?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
