An Amazing Trip to Hai Phong, Vietnam

An Amazing Trip to Hai Phong, Vietnam I recently had the opportunity to visit Hải Phòng, and it was an unforgettable experience filled with rich culture, stunning landscapes, and delicious food. I stayed at a lovely hotel in the city center, which provided easy access to many attractions. The rooms were comfortable and well-equipped, and the staff were incredibly helpful, offering great recommendations for local dining. One of the highlights of my trip was visiting the historic Trang Kenh Temple. The architecture was beautiful, and the serene atmosphere made it a perfect spot for reflection. I also explored the famous Hải Phòng Opera House, which is a stunning example of French colonial architecture. Hai Phong is renowned for its cuisine, and I was not disappointed! I tried the local specialty, **bánh đa cua** (crab noodle soup), and it was absolutely delicious. I also enjoyed fresh seafood at a bustling night market, where the flavors were vibrant and authentic.

Response from the operator: Hi Lewt, I would like to thank you for sharing this great experience. Fortunately, you had a terrific trip in this charming city. I hope this trip made your life more colorful and amazing, and brought you more information about local traditions and culture. You felt that the local dishes were unique and delightful, right? Once again, thank you for coming to the beautiful country Vietnam, I wish you the best and good health to explore other countries all over the world.

Experience a new tour in the Northern VietNam

On my last Vietnam trip. I had an opportunity to visit Ha Long, Ninh Binh, and Sapa. But when I returned to Vietnam, I decided to choose a strange city, Hai Phong. Hai Phong is a peaceful city and has a beautiful blend of modernity and antiquity. Another experience of the tour was traveling by train from Hanoi, I got to see the countryside of Vietnam on the way. Local food was very delicious and had a unique taste, different from food in other places like Hanoi. Our tour guide was Bryan, he was very knowledgeable and friendly. The Tour guide. This experience was worth trying, highly recommend it.

Response from the operator: I am thrilled to hear to feedback and I appreciate you spending your time writing it. It was great that our tour made your Vietnam trip more amazing. I wish you had unforgettable memories in this charming country and have a chance to accompany you in your next Vietnam trip. Thank you so much.

Hai Phong City Historical and Food Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.

How much does Hai Phong City Historical and Food Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $69 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Hai Phong City Historical and Food Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 13 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.

Is Hai Phong City Historical and Food Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Hai Phong City Historical and Food Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Hai Phong City Historical and Food Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 13-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Hai Phong City Historical and Food Tour?

    +

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 13-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Hai Phong City Historical and Food Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hanoi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hanoi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hanoi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
