    Gypsy Vanner

Very informative, beautiful grounds and the horses are magnificent. Dennis the proprietor and host weaves the history with current status of the breed in a very interesting fashion.

    Great Story, Beautiful Horses

A great fun AND educational experience. The horses are beyond beautiful and the history of the breed is fascinating. There is some walking but it’s easy and the grounds are lovely. The best part is that your participation helps ensure the future of this kind and beautiful breed of horse.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words and for spending time with us—it truly means a lot. We’re grateful you enjoyed the story of how it all began and the journey of bringing the first Gypsy Vanner Horses to America. Sharing that history is very personal to us, and it’s rewarding to know it resonated with you. I’m also glad you enjoyed the walking tour and meeting all the characters here—from the Vanners to the mini donkeys and our big, gentle mammoth mules. They each play a part in making the experience special. Thank you again for your recommendation and for taking the time to share your experience. We hope to welcome you back to Gypsy Gold one day. Warm regards, Dennis and Erin Thompson Gypsy Gold Horse Farm

    Exceeded Expectations!

This was a last minute trip to meet up with family in central Florida. It was my MIL and my 4 year old daughter- so I wanted to give my daughter a unique horse experience, being that we we're staying in Ocala. I looked at the tours avail for Gypsy Gold and did not see the shorter walking tour that would have been better for my daughter. I called and spoke with Erin (sp?). She was wonderful! Worked with us to join the longer morning tour ( after the history portion) so that we could get the walking tour portion since the afternoon tour was not avail on our specific date. My expectations were exceeded from that moment on. We arrived and it was a seamless transition into the tour- she was so kind and patient, although my daughter was not on her best behavior! We learned so much and although we did several other things while in the area ( including swimming at springs), this was BY FAR the favorite by all. I cannot thank Erin and the Gypsy Gold Farm enough for their hospitality and flexibility. The experience was truly second to none!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this heartwarming review! We’re especially delighted that Gypsy Gold became your family’s favorite experience during your visit to Ocala. With so many wonderful things to do in the area, that is quite a compliment! Erin will be thrilled to read your kind words. We understand that traveling with a four-year-old requires a little flexibility, and we’re so glad we could arrange a tour that worked for your family. Please don’t worry about your daughter’s behavior—four-year-olds and horses have something wonderful in common: they’re full of personality! Creating special memories for children and their families is one of the greatest rewards of sharing Gypsy Gold with our guests. We hope your daughter carries a little of that magic with her and that we have the pleasure of welcoming all three of you back someday. Warm regards, Dennis and Erin Thompson Gypsy Gold Horse Farm

    Nature and History

Dear Dennis, Thank you for a fascinating and thoroughly enjoyable tour! ChatGPT augmented this photo for the Fourth of July, and I thought you would get a kick out of it.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your thoughtful note and for sharing your Fourth of July photo! I'm delighted you enjoyed the tour and the history behind Gypsy Gold. And what fun to see a little artificial intelligence add some patriotic spirit to your photograph! Technology certainly has a way of surprising us. Thank you for spending time with us and for taking the time to share your experience. We hope to welcome you back to Gypsy Gold someday! Warm regards, Dennis and Erin Thompson Gypsy Gold Horse Farm

Gypsy Gold Horse Farm Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Orlando.

How much does Gypsy Gold Horse Farm Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $55 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Orlando usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Gypsy Gold Horse Farm Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Orlando is not rushed.

Is Gypsy Gold Horse Farm Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 89 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 464 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Orlando, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Gypsy Gold Horse Farm Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Gypsy Gold Horse Farm Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Gypsy Gold Horse Farm Tour?

    +

Around 162 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Orlando can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Orlando and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Gypsy Gold Horse Farm Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Orlando within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Orlando?

    +

Orlando is a park town with a wetland wrapped around it. Multi-day theme park tickets and skip-ahead passes dominate, but the highest-satisfaction days are often the ones nobody plans: airboat runs on the St. Johns, manatee swims at Crystal River, and Kennedy Space Center on a launch day. We rank on wait-time value and how honestly an operator describes what is included. On Outty we rank every Orlando experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Escape Game Orlando: Epic 60-Minute Adventures on I-Drive, Kennedy Space Center with Transport from Orlando and Kissimmee, 2 HR Interactive Walking Ghost Tour in Downtown Orlando. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Orlando?

    +

January to April, before the humidity and the afternoon thunderstorms settle in. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Orlando?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

What is included in Gypsy Gold Horse Farm Tour?

    +

Included: Photo opportunity with one of our Gypsy Vanner Horses; and Walking tour. Not included: Gratuities. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.

What languages is Gypsy Gold Horse Farm Tour offered in?

    +

It runs in English. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.

Will I get instant confirmation and a mobile ticket for Gypsy Gold Horse Farm Tour?

    +

Confirmation is sent by the operator after booking, usually within 48 hours; if it is not confirmed you are not charged. Mobile tickets are accepted, so you can show the voucher on your phone.

Is Gypsy Gold Horse Farm Tour wheelchair or stroller accessible?

    +

The operator notes: Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller. If accessibility is critical, contact the operator after booking to confirm arrangements for your date.

What happens to Gypsy Gold Horse Farm Tour if the weather is bad?

    +

It generally runs rain or shine, so dress for the forecast in Orlando. Standard cancellation terms apply: free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start.
