On this tour you get to experience the cultural viking village in Njardarheimr, cruise through UNESCO World Heritage Site Nærøyfjorden and one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world, The Flåm Railway. The tour is guided until Viking Village, after the village you are self guided on the cruise and the train. You will get all the info you need. Start time is 8.00 am until 30th of April 2026. From 1st of May until 30th of September 2026 the start time is 9.00 am. In October and the rest of the winter season 2026 the start time is 8.00 am. again. 2 hour cruise. The narrow and spectacular Nærøyfjord is surrounded by steep valley sides and snow-covered peaks that rise 1,800 meters above sea level, with thundering waterfalls and picturesque villages along the fjord. Regardless of the season, a cruise on the Nærøyfjord will be an unforgettable experience. The vessels have been designed to maximize the tourist experience during any kind of weather, with large windows and walkways inspired by the winding trails of steep mountain terrain. Passengers are encouraged to go out on the top deck and enjoy a very different experience compared to traditional passenger vessels. Flam
Flåm is the most popular village around the Aurlandsfjord, and one of Norway’s most popular tourist destinations. The village has had a history of tourism dating back over 100 years, to when rich, British tourists would come to the fjords to fish salmon in the rivers here. Flåm is small, with around 400 inhabitants. The stop in Flåm varies because of the different cruise and train times during the year. In the winter time you only have 30 or 45 minutes of free time before the train leaves. In the summer you have 1-2 hours free time in flåm, because the train leaves at a later time.

The train runs from the end of Aurlandsfjord, a tributary of the Sognefjord, up to the high mountains at Myrdal station. Over the course of one hour, the train takes you from sea level at the Sognefjord in Flåm to the Myrdal mountain station, situated at 867 meters above sea level. The Flåm Railway is one of the steepest standard gauge railway lines in the world, with 80% of the journey running on a gradient of 5.5%. The train runs through spectacular scenery, alongside the Rallar Road, vertiginous mountainsides, foaming waterfalls and through 20 tunnels. Viking village. Fjord boat
It seemed perfect except trip advisor did not include the meeting point address with our confirmation which made it difficult to find

Excellent
This was an excellent tour overall. Fjord drive tours did the tour. The vehicle (20 passengers) was clean, comfortable and well maintained with a professional, friendly driver (Gary) who spoke excellent English. As everyone arrived on time by 8:45 we were able to do some additional photo stops. The boat was 100%, as was the train (sit right facing forward) The Viking village is nice but touristy with many of the staff from other countries. This tour makes for a long day but is still an excellent tour. The driver leaves you after embarking the boat but this is fine as it easy to get on the next part of the jorney.

Great trip and great guide, very worthwhile.
This was a great, full day experience. Our guide, Selene, did a fabulous job giving information and answering lots of questions. Our driver, Tommy, also did a great job getting us everywhere safely and chipped in here and there with additional local knowledge. They even found time for an additional photo op of two at some wonderful vistas. It is a very long day but well worth it!!

A Must Do - Worth every cent!
This was a WONDERFUL tour. Having been on several guided tours, the guide makes all the difference, and we had the best! Selene was extremely personable and full of knowledge of the area, the history, and the culture. She was also very conscientious of her tour group, always making certain we were all present and accounted for. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tour. The sites are awesome and spectacular, and the perspectives experienced by train and c cruise were incredible.

Long day , but a fun one...
Long day , but a fun one ! Rain in first part of the day played spoil sport. The waterfall stops were amazing. Viking village a bit over rated and too much time allocated . The guide and driver of the black Mercedes van - Gier was a very affable guy and helped sketch out Bergen and the surrounding areas as best as he could . Voss was a great town we passed by ( ideally should have a break there ) . The drive back from Flåm to Myrdal and the waterfall stop was amazing ( sit on the left side of the train ) . From Myrdal to Bergen , the last leg is too long . Recommendation ideally the tour company should give reserved seats or one can be asked to move out to another seat . Recommended
