    What you'll see and do

    1. Praia da Tartaruga

Formed by two portions of sand separated by a beautiful stone path, Praia da Tartaruga combines beauty with good infrastructure. The beach manages to maintain the rustic air, with kiosks made of wood (after some of the masonry were demolished) and typical seafood menus. The place is excellent for those with a family. There are several activities available on the beach, such as snorkeling. All in a beautiful, colorful and very calm sea.

      50 minutes here

    2. Azeda Beach

Praia da Azeda is among the most sought after by tourists. As the strip of sand is very narrow, it ends up becoming one of the busiest in Búzios. On hot days, it will be difficult to compete for space among visitors. Be patient! But if you want to see the beach a little quieter, invest in a weekday visit. This is the only way to be able to appreciate all that Azeda has to offer. Praia da Azeda is neighboring Azedinha. They are only divided by a stone strip, and in Azedinha there is no construction to hide the view of the forest.

      50 minutes here

    3. Praia Joao Fernandes

The show starts at the top of the viewpoint that shows the beautiful sea of João Fernandes Beach. It's hard not to be enchanted and go down to the sand. The beaches of João Fernandes and João Fernadinho are neighboring and there is no land connection between the two. João Fernandes is the busiest side, with restaurants, stalls and a long strip of sand.

      50 minutes here

    4. Praia dos Ossos

Praia dos Ossos is one of the most famous beaches in the resort of Armação dos Búzios, on the coast of the state of Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil. Its name comes from the whale hunting activity, carried out in the village from 1730 onwards, which spread the bones of the animals on the beach sands.

      Pass by without stopping

    5. Virgens Beach

The beach is small and almost untouched by man with a beautiful and small strip of sand, its access on foot is very difficult and it is done through some rock formations, so we warn you to have a lot of attention on the way. But it is worth the effort of the trail, for those who want to get a unique landscape of Búzios. Praia das Virgens, one of the smallest beaches in the city, is ideal for those looking for more exotic and hidden places.

    The activity with the...

The activity with the boat tour was excellent. With that stated, the rest of the trip didn’t meet expectations. We traveled for over three hours in a van one way with hard seats instead of a bus as advertised. Since we had the first hotel pick up, we were on the van for over two hours before everyone was picked up to begin the three hour ride. We didn’t have a bathroom break for over three hours. Our tour guide didn’t speak any English as requested and no one else in the full van spoke English either.

Response from the operator: Hello! Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re glad to know you enjoyed the boat tour. Regarding the transportation and communication, the service follows the itinerary and conditions described on the platform, and adjustments may occur depending on daily logistics and group size. Your feedback has been shared with our team for review and continuous improvement.

    Sweating on tour bus

We were told to sit in back of the bus. It extremely hot in back. As much as sweating. The tour guide had assigned seats. We asked to change and she wouldn't allow. The tour guide did not speak loud enough to hear in back bus. She more concern about her rating then the experience. I will say the boat staff and experience was great. Question is the 2.5 hr boat ride worth the 8 hr bus ride. Complained to viator that ad doesn't match experience and they had no solution.

Response from the operator: Hello, We would like to begin by expressing our sincere gratitude for sharing your experience with us. We are deeply sorry that your tour to Búzios did not meet your expectations and we apologize for the inconveniences you faced during the tour. We take all criticism and feedback from our customers very seriously, as it is through them that we can improve our services and ensure more satisfactory experiences in the future. We understand your frustration regarding the discomfort caused by the heat on the bus, as well as the difficulty in hearing the guide during the journey. We will conduct an internal review of procedures to ensure that all issues relating to passenger comfort are appropriately considered and addressed. Regarding the seating policy, we regret any misunderstanding or inconvenience caused by rigid assignments. We will review our internal policies to ensure there is flexibility when necessary so that all passengers can enjoy the best experience possible. It's great to know that you enjoyed the sailing part of the trip and that the team was able to provide you with a positive experience. However, we understand your concern about whether the long bus journey was worth it compared to the time spent on the boat. We will further evaluate this issue to ensure our tour descriptions are accurate and adequately reflect the actual experience. Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for giving us the opportunity to improve. We hope to have the chance to welcome you again in the future and provide you with a more rewarding experience. Please do not hesitate to contact us if there is anything else we can do to resolve your concerns or if you require additional assistance. Yours sincerely, Ana.

    Subpar Guide

The actual boat ride at Buzios was lovely. The team on the boat were delightful. The guide who came with us on the bus was below par. Firstly, she broke the cardinal rule of any form of tourism, which was to talk about politics (she was highly critical of a hat that I was wearing, a hat of the landless workers movement in Brazil). Secondly, she did not give us any sense of the history of the areas we were driving through, only talking about Bridget Bardot, as if that defines the entire history of Buzios. I learned more scrolling through Wikipedia than from the guide.

Response from the operator: Did you say that the tour is beautiful and that you had a good time, and did you give us a 1 for political issues? Since you're talking about wikipedia, and history, and know-how, I'd like to ask you a simple question. I don't know if you are aware of what the MST is in Brazil, do you know what the MST is in Brazil and what has it done over the years? if you are not aware of this, since you are wearing the hat, we will explain it to you. The landless movement is a movement that plunders with unheard-of violence the lands of legitimate owners. with violence, I repeat, unheard-of violence. Now agree that the guide shouldn't make political comments, but I advise you before using a hat to study the history of what you're wearing, since you speak wikipedia. Furthermore, if you meet someone who may be annoyed because maybe their house or apartment has been plundered by these people, MST, don't get stressed, and understand the moment. Reminding you that you were on a tour, not a political rally. Have a Good day

Guided Tour to Búzios with Boat Tour and Lunch: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rio de Janeiro.

How much does Guided Tour to Búzios with Boat Tour and Lunch cost?

    +

Prices start at $105 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rio de Janeiro usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Guided Tour to Búzios with Boat Tour and Lunch take?

    +

Plan for about 14 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rio de Janeiro is not rushed.

Is Guided Tour to Búzios with Boat Tour and Lunch worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 53 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rio de Janeiro, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Guided Tour to Búzios with Boat Tour and Lunch?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Guided Tour to Búzios with Boat Tour and Lunch suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 14-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Guided Tour to Búzios with Boat Tour and Lunch?

    +

Around 19 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rio de Janeiro can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rio de Janeiro and add a light layer if any part of the 14-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Guided Tour to Búzios with Boat Tour and Lunch start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rio de Janeiro within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Rio de Janeiro?

    +

On Outty we rank every Rio de Janeiro experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pedra da Gávea hike, your best experience in Rio, Rio's Full Day: Selarón Steps, Christ & Sugarloaf – Tickets & Lunch Included, Rio: Tijuca Rainforest Hike, Wildlife, Waterfalls & Caves. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Rio de Janeiro?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Rio de Janeiro?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
