On this tour to Mt. Rainier National Park there is a lot of diversity from alpine environment to old growth forest in lower elevation. We drive to the highlights in the park and you will experience diverse landscapes and scenery such as glaciers, mountains, waterfalls, rivers, and tall trees in old-growth forest. You will be on guided shorter hikes at points of interest. In the winter areas of the park may be closed some days and not all highlights will be accessible at times - from November to June snowshoes/crampons will be provided when necessary since there is often snow on the trails in those months.

Amazing day spent at...
Amazing day spent at Mount Rainier National Park, especially if you're solo. The whole trip took almost 11 hours from pick-up in the early mornings downtown Seattle and coming back. I really wanted to go on a proper hike, but travelling alone and not wanting to drive, this was the perfect choice. Susan was a great guide, sharing a lot of information of the park, and drove us to all the amazing viewpoints. The hike splits the group into two groups: easier, almost flat short trip at Paradise to a waterfall. And a "harder" (as an avid hiker I'd say between easy and moderate) hike along the popular skyline trail, which took us roughly 2 hours. It's a good exercise since it's pretty steep all the time, so you feel like being on a proper (shorter) hike, nothing technical, but good shoes are required. I really enjoyed the day and took a lot of photos and videos, it was great!

Great experience and a...
Great experience and a nice way to spend a day outside of Seattle and into Mt Rainier National Park. Our guide, Susan, was knowledgeable and knew all the cool spots for photos
via Viator
Tour was fantastic
Susan was very thorough. She knows Mt. Rainier and was able to get us to the right places at the right time for the best views. The climb is not for the week kneed, but well worth the effort when you get to the picnic area.

Guided hike on Mt. Rainier - old forest, falls and glacier views: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Seattle.
How much does Guided hike on Mt. Rainier - old forest, falls and glacier views cost?
+
Prices start at $179 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Seattle usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Guided hike on Mt. Rainier - old forest, falls and glacier views take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Seattle is not rushed.
Is Guided hike on Mt. Rainier - old forest, falls and glacier views worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 90 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 681 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Seattle, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Guided hike on Mt. Rainier - old forest, falls and glacier views?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Guided hike on Mt. Rainier - old forest, falls and glacier views suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Guided hike on Mt. Rainier - old forest, falls and glacier views?
+
Around 238 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Seattle can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Seattle and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Guided hike on Mt. Rainier - old forest, falls and glacier views start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Seattle within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Seattle?
+
Seattle's best days leave the city: Mount Rainier, the San Juans, Olympic National Park and Snoqualmie Falls are all day-trip range, and each one lives or dies on the driver-guide. In town, Pike Place food tours, underground history walks and harbour cruises dominate. Our ranking favours operators with small vans over full coaches on the mountain runs. On Outty we rank every Seattle experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mt. Rainier Day Tour from Seattle, Seattle City and Snoqualmie Falls Half-Day Guided Tour, Pike Place Market Tasting Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Seattle?
+
June to September for clear Rainier views and reliable ferry weather. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Seattle?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
