Tbilisi to Yerevan — only accept GEL!

The transfer from Tbilisi to Yerevan was punctual, safe driving (Georgia standards), and convenient alternative to flying. The entire trip took about 5.5 hours with leaving on first transfer of day at 0730. The border crossing on the Armenian side took longer — would recommend taking earliest transfer since imagine the border gets busier as day progresses. The only hiccup was correspondence stating payment could be made in cash, USD or GEL, or credit card with representative. However, at the Tbilisi office the man at desk said only GEL. I specifically had not exchanged USD due to correspondence. After the transfer, I did receive clarification that transfers from Yerevan to Tbilisi accept cash or credit card. Also, note that the day before text message stated price to be 70 GEL. YET, there is a sign in the Tbilisi office behind the desk stating the price is 60 GEL for transfers. Overall, would recommend company for transferring between Georgia and Armenia or vice versa.

The best operator to travel to Yerevan and back from tbilisi

I felt safe enough with our driver to have a nap!

The driver was pleasant and did all the baggage handling for everyone. We had one good stop and we didn’t have to keep stopping for the driver to have a smoke! The driver wasn’t texting during our travels-that I noticed-and I appreciated that.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience! ❤️ We’re pleased that you appreciated the driver’s attentiveness, the convenient stop, and the smooth ride. We believe that a comfortable transfer comes down to both thoughtful service and professional driving. Thank you for choosing us, and we hope to welcome you again! 🚐✨

    Horrendous and dangerous

The Armenia-Georgia leg involved an old minibus with a huge crack across the windscreen. The drivers speak no English, yet this one shouted repeatedly at passengers in Armenian. You are directed to seats regardless of when you turn up. His driving was highly reckless, involving multiple overtaking on bends. This isn’t “a different country‘s standards“ - I’ve been to 79. it was simple dangerous driving that put our lives at risks. There was no ventilation & the trip took 6.5 hrs. On the return, I was assigned to a cramped seat at the v back despite being there early. The minibus was newer, but still had no ventilation. It is a long trip on sometimes very bumpy road - both I and other passengers commented on aching backs. The second driver was extremely fast, rather than recklessly dangerous. Just before arrival into Yerevan he parked up for 15 minutes by the side of the road, it turns out to hand a bag to a friend of his who came by to meet him. A woman in the bus started screaming at him in Russian, which ended up with him shouting back at her. That is about the level of professionalism and quality this service provides. “Support“ from the company involves lots of WhatsApp messages with cute little emojis asking if everything is going ok. - but when you reply they “sincerely apologize“ and then get all defensive, and refer you to their fact sheet, which basically say the drivers are lunatics. They point-blank refused to switch on the a/c saying it isn’t “hot anymore“ and argued about this (as well as about my legroom) rather than offering any form of constructive support.. The vehicle temperature gauge was showing 31° outside (see pic) - and despite the company saying the a/c could not be switched on, the driver did so when a woman passenger yelled at the driver in Russian. It was truly a horrendous experience: both ways. The buses look nothing like the ones in the image: this is bargain-basement travel if you don't care about your comfort or safety. I cannot recommend not using this company more strongly. Also to give you a sense of how bothered they are about negative reviews, they have aggressively contacted me to tell me they're going to seek to take down a parallel review on GetYourGuide because I accidentally have a number plate of one their run-down vans showing. This may explain the inflated "good" reviews: they're trying to take down negative ones in any way they can.

Response from the operator: This is the second time this person has posted a review about our company. Previous reviews were removed by the platforms after the information provided was found to be inaccurate and misleading. This time, we have decided to leave the review visible so that readers can make their own judgments. We believe it is important for people to understand that not every online review is reliable or reflects the truth. We remain confident in the quality of our service and encourage readers to consider all available information before drawing conclusions.

    Crazy driver but nice bus

Do not travel if you get travel sick… Drivers do not mess around, but the van was nice at least

Response from the operator: This review is completely false, as you have never used our services. It seems you may have confused our company with another one and mistakenly left this review on our page. We have never provided you with any services. We kindly ask you to be more careful in the future and make sure you are reviewing the correct company before publishing such claims. Thank you, and we wish you all the best.

Group Transfer from Yerevan to Tbilisi: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Yerevan.

How much does Group Transfer from Yerevan to Tbilisi cost?

    +

Prices start at $39 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Yerevan usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Group Transfer from Yerevan to Tbilisi take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Yerevan is not rushed.

Is Group Transfer from Yerevan to Tbilisi worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 32 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Yerevan, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Group Transfer from Yerevan to Tbilisi?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Group Transfer from Yerevan to Tbilisi suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Group Transfer from Yerevan to Tbilisi?

    +

Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Yerevan can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Yerevan and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Group Transfer from Yerevan to Tbilisi start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Yerevan within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Yerevan?

    +

On Outty we rank every Yerevan experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Group Tour: Lake Sevan (Sevanavank), Dilijan (Goshavank, Haghartsin), Group Tour: Khor Virap, Garni temple, Geghard, Lavash baking, Group Tour: Garni pagan temple, Geghard monastery, Lake Sevan, Sevanavank. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Yerevan?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Yerevan?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

    +

Included: Backpacks under 15 kg or suitcases 60-65 cm; and Public transportation (bus, subway, cable car, etc.). Not included: Over weight limit. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
