My wedding day heros
First of all, this is going to be long, but even still words won’t do justice how hard Arianne and Lidija worked on my wedding day. I had originally hired the Straws n berries team to set up charcuterie boards for my wedding, but then realised id need some help on the day to sort out breakfast/lunch and drinks, so I enquired to see if I could hire them to help out for the day. From the start, the company were proactive at communication, helpful, and super supportive. On the day of my wedding, two massive thunderstorms happened up until about 11am. This meant that I was exceptionally stressed and nothing that should have been done, could be done because the weather was so bad. It did thankfully not rain again after 11am. For context, the storms were so bad it wiped out mobile signal in the area and woke all our guests up at 7am. 11am came and I expected one person from Straws n berries to show up, but they very kindly sent 2; Arianne and Lidija. My saviours. These girls killed it, they single-handedly saved my wedding and I’m not exaggerating. Nothing went to plan, but Arianne and Lidija just figured stuff out in such a proactive and upbeat way. They never came with any problems to me, only solutions. I had sent them some on the day instructions to keep them right, but because of the weather and other factors pretty much everything had to change last minute. They made breakfast and lunch for everyone, they put out drinks and ice, they found things that were lost, they moved furniture. They did so so much more than I ever would have expected. They thought on their feet and worked together as a perfect team. Honestly, they must have been shattered after how hard they worked. They even loaded the dishwasher before they left. All the guests and staff all commented how incredible they were, my only regret was not hiring them for the full weekend, that would have saved me lots of stress haha! I will forever remember the two girls, Arianne and Lidija that saved my wedding, and I will recommend them to everyone that’s having any type of function/event in Spain. So if you are considering their services, hire them. It’s the best money you’ll ever spend and I promise you won’t regret it. Arianne, Lidija, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Forever grateful for you both, you have skills and qualities that most people only wish to have. You really did save the day!

Hen party picnic & catamaran boat trip
Used this company for two activities 1) Grazing picnic for hen party 2) Private catamaran trip Honestly can't recommend enough!!! The decor was beautiful, the food was delicious and such a cute activity for a hen party. Same with the boat so beautifully decorated and we had more snacks/drinks ready for this too. Only suggestion is avoid boat trip in March/ if the water is feeling quite choppy - quite a few of the girls felt sea sick so we couldn't enjoy it properly. I think it's a really fun and fab activity, so you should definitely do but just time it well :)

Poor Communication
I booked this tour through Viator over the phone. I had some questions I wanted answered before paying for a non-refundable tour. First, since this was in celebration of a birthday, I wanted to make certain I would be able to have a cake. The Viator representative assured me this would not be a problem. Second, I specifically asked if this "picnic" would be able to be held on the beach, since that was one of the options. Again, the Viator representative assured me it could. I booked the tour and I paid the money through the link. Ultimately, the tour could not be held on the beach, even though the option was in the description and the business hosting the event did not have enough time to get a cake. I ran around Barcelona trying to find one. I would have never booked this knowing that we would be sitting on the grass next to the beach and not on the beach. However, these were not the biggest issues. The biggest issue occurred when I received the ticket with the booking details. The ticket had the wrong meeting information. Our reservation was booked for 7:00 pm (17:00) and consisted of 12 people. We were in three separate taxis and none of us had the correct meeting point. At 6:46, I received a what's-app from the Business owner stating "this is the exact location". However, our party began at 7:00 pm and eight of the guests had already arrived at the location sent to us by Viator on our confirmation. The four people in my car were still in the car enroute to the location because we were driving around trying to hunt down a birthday cake at the last minute. While we were heading for "Passeig del Mare Nostrum, 15, the address stated on our tickets, we had our driver change destination and arrived at the park near Bogatell beach a bit late. The remaining eight participants were trying to hail taxis near the "W Hotel", the location near Passeig del Mare Nostrum, 15, the spot their taxi drivers dropped them off. It took an inordinate amount of time to hail two new taxis and of course paid double taxi fairs. They arrived closer to 8:15 pm. At that point, the eight of them were quite annoyed and the party lacked some enthusiasm. I regret paying $700.00

Perfect girly afternoon
I used Straws n Berries in May 2019 for my cousins Hen Du and it was incredible! Babet was a brilliant host and she was super responsive. It was the perfect surprise and girly afternoon. I am heading back to Barcelona in October and have already messaged her as I'd love to do this again. The food and drinks were very tasty also!

Very professional
Unfortunately we had to cancel our trip from London to Barcelona because of the corona virus. I just wanted to say a big thank you to Straws n' Berries for dealing with this in the most professional way. I to work in events and I know what a hard time we are all having and will have in the next couple of months. For such a small company to give me a voucher is very much appreciated as I thought I had lost my money all together. Thank you to both Babet and Maike for being so helpful and professional. Rest assured once this is over I will be re booking, but moreover I will keep recommending you guys to my friends. Stay Safe!
