Excellent wine experience on the beach in a lovely atmosphere.

We were pleasantly surprised with this wine tour. Great location on the sea and super wines. I'm Greek and I learned interesting information about Greek wines and how they compare with other well known wines from France and Italy. My girlfriend and I live in Athens and we often head south to the beaches. We love this beach bar to begin with, and this is the first time we tried a wine tasting. It was well worth it. Kris is very knowledgeable and a gracious host. The wines we tasted were incredible, and now I have some new favourites to add to my cellar. Highly recommend.

    A TRULY GREAT WINE TOUR

My wife and I had an awesome time! We have done a few wine tours in our day, but this was the best, and our favorite, by far. The selection of wines and the pairings were awesome. More than that, the stories, the conversation, and the knowledge that went along with all of it was just our style; Kris can talk technically, he can talk casually, but he was always talking with us, not at us. He did a great job of answering our questions while appealing to our own relationship with wine - we appreciate fine and vintage bottles, especially here in Europe, but we also love great value wines that retail for $10-$20 per bottle. Kris was very knowledgeable about the unique characteristics of Greek and Mediterranean wines, and he connected those with wines we know we love from France and other countries. We live in southwest Germany, so we talked a lot about wines from Germany and France. Greek wines are relatively new to our pallet, but we found all of it very enjoyable. When you learn about the climate, the terroir, the food culture, and how people historically drank wine in Greece, it all makes so much sense. Such fun. Kris was disarming, approachable and knowledgeable. He was a great resource, guide, and a fun conversation. We even got to meet his dog named “Riesling”. She is such a sweet dog. Thank you so much Kris. We had a blast and we wish Eat Drink Fun all the best!

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Athens?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Athens?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
