    Amazing Trip!!!! Wonderful Company

Five stars—highly recommend! I booked a layover tour with Beijing Layover Tour, and the entire experience was excellent from start to finish. They responded quickly to my emails and answered all of my questions clearly, which made planning very easy. On the day of the tour, they were right on time and picked me up directly from my hotel. I had an English-speaking guide, a professional driver, and a very comfortable car. Even though it was Labor Day, everything was handled smoothly. We visited the Great Wall, and all tickets were arranged in advance. The guide helped us get tickets for the lift up and the toboggan ride down, which made the experience even more fun and stress-free. He also recommended a great restaurant, which was a nice bonus. Everything was well organized and easy. I can’t wait to use this company again!

    Money well spent

We had 12 hours of stopover time and decided to take this tour instead of waiting at the airport. We stayed at the Great Wall of China and then went for a walk in the traditional hutongs and asked the guide to have a dinner with traditional Pekingese duck. Herbie our guide provided a lot of historical information and also interesting and funny information so the visit was very pleasant and chose a really good and quite cheap restaurant so the dinner was phenomenal. The good thing is that you don't have to think about anything either about timing or where to go or internet connection or cold weather because they gave us warm coats. Definitely money well spent and I would do it again the only thing to pay attention to is maybe not to put too many things on the tour because you risk doing things too quickly and it was a bit 'our case even though the guide handled it very well at the time. Thank you so much Herbie!!

    Excellent Layover Tour

Very efficient and well organised tour. Solo tours come with a premium. But I did feel as though I got value for money.Great tour guide who knew his stuff and gave me a good input to life in Beijing. Very friendly tour guide. Felt as though I learned a lot in a short period of time.

Discovering the Non-Touristic section of the Great Wall

We had a fantastic layover tour to discover the really off-the-beaten path section of the Great Wall of China! Our guide Herbie took us to the Jinshanling section, which is the farthest from Beijing and least visited portion of the Wall and it was really worth it! There were very few people around us and it was incredible to have entire sections of the Wall almost all for us. It made for some great photo opportunities and Herbie went above and beyond to make sure we left with some unforgettable memories. We really enjoyed Herbie's company - he was friendly, attentive and had a lot of stories and information to share. We were able to spend three hours walking on the Wall, but he still made sure we would get back on time to take our next flight without having to rush. If you have a few hours to spare in Beijing and want to check the Great Wall, we'd definitely recommend going to the Jinshanling section and get Herbie as a guide!

Great Wall With Beijing Capital Airport/Hotel Round-Way Transfer: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Beijing.

How much does Great Wall With Beijing Capital Airport/Hotel Round-Way Transfer cost?

    +

Prices start at $233 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Beijing usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Great Wall With Beijing Capital Airport/Hotel Round-Way Transfer take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Beijing is not rushed.

Is Great Wall With Beijing Capital Airport/Hotel Round-Way Transfer worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Beijing, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Great Wall With Beijing Capital Airport/Hotel Round-Way Transfer?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Great Wall With Beijing Capital Airport/Hotel Round-Way Transfer suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Great Wall With Beijing Capital Airport/Hotel Round-Way Transfer?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Beijing can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Beijing and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Great Wall With Beijing Capital Airport/Hotel Round-Way Transfer start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Beijing within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Beijing?

    +

On Outty we rank every Beijing experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mubus: Mutianyu Great Wall Bus Tour with Summer Palace Options, Beijing: Top 6 Highlights All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour, Private Mutianyu Great Wall Trip With English-Speaking Driver. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Beijing?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Beijing?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
