Was interesting to say the least

The food okay, but don’t expect gourmet food. The service was not the best, we got our drinks and after that they didn’t care about us until it was time to pay. The entertainment was for sure entertaining, but maybe not in the way they intended. It was like watching all those bad auditions from Americas got talent. We had a good laugh. The ship seems to have seen better days, it was very retro. It was worth seeing Bangkok from the river, the scenery was beautiful.

Response from the operator: Dear H9580P, Thank you for your comments. This cruise is a buffet style which you help yourself from around 50 stations scattered throughout this ship. We do also offer set menu served meals as well on other cruises. For the entertainment, while some may enjoy this some may not, this is down to personal taste so i am sorry you did not like this. Regards, Nick

    Don’t trust the information

I rated the tour a “1”, because the information they provided for the meeting place and travel to the meeting place was terrible. In the end we missed our tour by 10 minutes and the company refused a refund. We booked this tour for our first night in Bangkok. We were totally unfamiliar with the city. The tour company gave a location, but when we put that in for the cab ride, it just dropped us off in front of the big shopping mall that runs along the water. They sited a pier number but that didn’t help us as there were many piers with the same number.??? Also, when we looked at when we needed to be there, then researched google maps for the length of travel time, we then doubled that for our transit time. You would have thought that we planned appropriately for our transit time, but BANGKOK TRAFFIC is HORRIBLE and very unpredictable! We did not know that in making our plans. In other tours we booked in Bangkok, we later read that they clearly stated that taking a taxi is very unpredictable for trying to arrive at a certain time and they recommended only using the Skytrain or Subway. That was so helpful, and we did not miss another tour. Summary: The boat company does not provide you with the information you need.

Response from the operator: Hi Nancy, Thanks for your review. Its great that we can respond. The meeting point was made clear to you on the Viator messaging system and also its on the web and also on the voucher. In fact my team sent you a message saying to please go to the Pier early as Bangkok Traffic is notorious. We did provide you with all the information, as follows Check In at Chaophraya Cruise Counter, Warehouse 7 (between 7 & 8), Next to The Kodangtalay Restaurant Check in : 17.30 – 18.45 Hrs Pier: 1 Front of Warehouse 7 Boarding time: 19.00hrs at PIER 1 Emergency call: 098-562-4419 As you can see, this is clear information which we sent. I am sorry that you arrived late. The boat can not wait as the pier is in constant use. Regards, Nick

    Beautiful and relaxing cruise

What a wonderful night out!! This cruise left the pier on time and the staff while we waited were so helpful and chatting with us. We were shown to our table and the cruise was excellent. There was so much food to choose from and the sights on the river beautiful.

Response from the operator: Hi Susan, Thank you so much for your 5-star review! We will share this with the store team to let them know to keep up the amazing work Nick

We decided to celebrate Loi Kratong festival in Chaphraya river and had such a great time. Food are great , lots of selections, and seafood was delicious along with delicious wine.

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thanks for booking the Grand Pearl during Loy Krathong here in Bangkok. We are so happy that you had a great time and thanks for choosing I Asia Thailand Regards, Nick

Candle lit dinner and boat cruise

Great buffet with ample and varied food catering for a variety of tastes. We were located a the very front of boat with only candle light illuminating our food and our faces creating a very romantic ambience. It was difficult to find and quite far from our hotel so we were the last to arrive, suggest you get there at least half an hour early to be safe. Overall highly recommended.

Response from the operator: Dear John, Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a beautiful review and for your tip to arrive early to our future customers, Regards, Nick

Grand Pearl Dinner Cruise – River Views, Buffet & Live Music: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bangkok.

How much does Grand Pearl Dinner Cruise – River Views, Buffet & Live Music cost?

    +

Prices start at $56 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bangkok usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Grand Pearl Dinner Cruise – River Views, Buffet & Live Music take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bangkok is not rushed.

Is Grand Pearl Dinner Cruise – River Views, Buffet & Live Music worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bangkok, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Grand Pearl Dinner Cruise – River Views, Buffet & Live Music?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Grand Pearl Dinner Cruise – River Views, Buffet & Live Music suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Grand Pearl Dinner Cruise – River Views, Buffet & Live Music?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bangkok can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bangkok and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Grand Pearl Dinner Cruise – River Views, Buffet & Live Music start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bangkok within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Bangkok?

    +

On Outty we rank every Bangkok experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bangkok Backstreets Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Old Siam Bangkok Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Tingly Thai Cooking Class with Morning Market Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Bangkok?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Bangkok?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
