ahiat mutamayiza A wonderful tour of the Grand Egyptian Museum and the Pyramids with a distinguished tour guide

The tour was extremely enjoyable, and the tour guide (Ms. Shimaa) was very knowledgeable and well-informed. She had an engaging and clear way of explaining things and skillfully managed the visit's itinerary and time, allowing us to cover all the exhibits at the Pyramids and Sphinx museums. She provided thorough and clear explanations of all the relevant information about each attraction, all in a wonderful and professional atmosphere. She answered all our questions. The museum is very well-organized and a masterpiece of design. The atmosphere was very pleasant and it wasn't crowded. I would definitely like to repeat this trip soon and recommend it to my friends.

Great tour guide!

Norhan is such a kind and generous tour guide. She made us feel so comfortable and was very knowledge about the Egyptian history. This was the start of our 4 day tour with her and this was the start of a great trip for us. Her knowledge and kindness and passion for her work made this day enjoyable.

Great Experience; Excellent tour guide

We had the pleasure of being shown around Giza and Alexandria by Nourhan. It was a great experience. Nourhan was very insightful and passionate about showing us the sites and giving us the background and history of the places we visited, it made me want to hit the history books after (and i actually did … lol). Thank you Nourhan and Islam (our ever patient driver). Hope to see you again in the future … Luxor and the Nile river cruise are still in the bucket list.

Visit Giza and Cairo with Nourhan - Hat Hor Tours

Since the beginning of the trip, Norhan helped me with the planning of the trip, sharing tips about the hotel to choose and areas to be visited. Norhan planned the two day tour in a strategical manner, first day to Giza pyramids and Sakkara/Memphis, while the second day GEM and downtown Cairo (Coptic/Islamic Cairo and bazaars). Norhan is different than the rest of the tour guides in town, something of unique, in fact she demonstrated to be somewhat capable in her job, lot of professionalism, very passionate about her work, and with a solid background on the matter. And she is also super empathetic and funny. Thanks for guiding me through Cairo and Giza, the experience with you has been phenomenal and with this, I absolutely recommend Norhan as a guide in town. You will not regret the experience. Thanks Nourhan. PierPaolo

Grand Egyptian Museum with Giza Pyramids And Great Sphinx: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Giza.

How much does Grand Egyptian Museum with Giza Pyramids And Great Sphinx cost?

+

Prices start at $110 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Giza usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Grand Egyptian Museum with Giza Pyramids And Great Sphinx take?

+

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Giza is not rushed.

Is Grand Egyptian Museum with Giza Pyramids And Great Sphinx worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Giza, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Grand Egyptian Museum with Giza Pyramids And Great Sphinx?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Grand Egyptian Museum with Giza Pyramids And Great Sphinx suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Grand Egyptian Museum with Giza Pyramids And Great Sphinx?

+

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Giza can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Giza and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Grand Egyptian Museum with Giza Pyramids And Great Sphinx start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Giza within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Giza?

+

On Outty we rank every Giza experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pyramids Sphinx Camel ATV Bike Shopping and Nile Dinner Cruise, Cairo 8 Hour Private Tour of Pyramids & Grand Egyptian Museum, Pyramids Sphinx and Grand Egyptian Museum Nile Felucca or Bazaar. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Giza?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Giza?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
